This video is for Huang Pin-Yuan's 你怎么舍得我難過 ("How can you let me be in sorrow?" / ni zen mo she de wo nan guo). There are many ways to translate the title, such as:
How can you give up on me?
How could you let me go?
How could you have the heart to let me feel sad?
How can you allow me to be in sorrow?
The Cantonese version is by Canti Lau and has the same title.
In addition to the Pinyin romanization I have also provided the English translation for some of us who do not understand Chinese.

I have written English lyrics to this song to reflect 黄品源's sentiments when he wrote the original Chinese lyrics. His lyrics was inspired by his own emotional experience. He was once making a living singing in a restaurant. A girl admired his talent and later became his girlfriend. He later wanted to explore opportunities with record companies. She was anxious about him becoming a star, so she suggested parting ways. 黄品源 was torn between his love for music and his love for the girl. When he was engaged by a record company, she quietly left, expressing her wish not to be associated with him. The star later returned to his hometown but he could no longer find her.
