I grew up in KL and have called SF home for the past 17 years. With family and friends in both places, I feel equally connected to both cities. I just moved to Malaysia from Seattle two months ago via the Digital Nomad Visa. It wasn't as easy as I expected at all. The whole process was bumpy as most people have no idea how to navigate it, the government agencies are difficult to deal with. Even after I landed, it has been challenging just trying to open a local bank account to pay for things. You can ping me, I would be happy to talk to you about the entire process.
