Chinese 63cc 2-stroke 2t motor. Unboxed Review, opened up, removed C.A.R.B restrictions, and ported.
Purchased this motor off ebay for $140.
Originally designed to work for earth auger’s, and lawn & garden equipment. I will be using it for goped gas scooters, which take 78mm clutch mount engines.
These motors are also used for motorized bike kits. Be advised that it comes restricted to meet California epa. Also the starter is hard to pull ( large piston)

Thanks for your videos homie. It felt like forever waiting for my set up to start comig tog. This engine makes me happy. Your video gave me alottttttttt of confidence in opening it up. You given me alota good advice. This engine doesnt overheat... haha. With the shroud. Also hypothetical question. Stock Gp460 with only bolt ons. geared for max 50mph vs our 63cc with bolt ons. Geared for 50mph same speed. Who do u think would win in the low and top end? With iut limited 9500 coil. Just asking for ur opinion. The 63cc a more reliable engine? Do u think theb63cc would beat it in bottom end? Im new to scootering.

If I open my 63 cylinder and remove rubber restrictions and same as remove the rubber ped and I will change carburetor and if I will work on piston what you recommend yes I like 63 motor I have two motors but are restricted

Shahid Khalid Abbasi buy the replacement cylinder on alibaba. It comes non restricted. Also the piston comes skirted.

Waldo's Project hey bud, i never noticed this comment. Thank you. And a 460 has a full circle crank, and single piston ring, so it will out accelerate the 63. The 63 should be a powerful yet reliable option. In a race the 460 would win... but then there’s variables. If the 63 had full circle crank and single ring then id say it would be the best.

There is a lot more you can do with this motor. I have the unrestricted huasheng 63.3cc, and I made it an absolute beast with very little work. My friend ported the cylinder for me, just a mild job, and then I modified a Chung yang 460 manifold to fit, and ran the walbro HDA 223 carb. I think a walbro HDA 48 would perform even better, but the 223 did great. You can use the throttle linkage off the stock barrel carb by securing it to the bottom of the carb using two of the 4 primer bulb screws, and bend it to line up with the throttle linkage on the carb. It's very simple and actually solid. You can also dremel out the exhaust can to derestrict it. If you look inside it you will see just a small hole for the gasses to pass through. Dremeling it out much larger will help. Be sure to wash all of the metal shavings, especially since they are steel. If you make a custom adapter to bolt on a gp460 flywheel cover/ pullstart, you can run the gp460 flywheel and coil which will help it to turn mega rpms. Like 12,000+ rpms. Some have bolted on a zenoah rc coil backwards and it ran for them. Also there's an echo backpack blower cylinder that will bolt on and has closed transfer ports and supposedly adds a lot of power. I hear these kasei motors actually have different port timing or a compression relief on the exhaust port or something along those lines. My huasheng doesn't have any of those restrictions but it does have open transfer ports. If you'd like I could send you some pics of my unrestricted version to maybe guide you in your modifications. Awesome video, can't wait to see what you do with it. I'm glad to see more people interested in putting these motors on Gopeds. They're great!

U lucky sob. I bet u bet u have so much fkin fun. Bro im currently learning and practicing bead blast and custom paint and getting better everyday and lesrning. I would love to learn port but sadly lesrning one thing at a time. Would love to pay u it ur in new wngland. I live in NH for a port job

Pb770 cylinder is the closed transfer one but they want 170 bucks for the cylinder alone at alot of places

George Melchor i made it run superb. But it did take a lot of modding to free air flow. And has larger carb. But it only revs to 9500 rpm. Still, it makes as much power as a tetra 60 up til 9500rpm. I was off-roading with it on my riot and climbed steep hills impressively. But... I would not recommend this motor if you will not be doing any port work of freeing up of engine. I will try to make a new video of it in action. I am very happy with how I left it

This particular Kasei engine is also restricted from the coil. Limited at 9500 rpm. I am now looking for the old version higher rpm coil 😤😒

Tonka V yep, this comment above is it. Im looking for a previous versions coil. This one tops out at 9500 rpm from coil. And is limited in air flow from stock package.

Can you tell me about old version some people suggest me replace coil flywheel and pull starter with 460 and walburo 255 carburetor but what is alternative?

@@abbasigopedsports7973 get Mitsubishi TL52 coil or 1e44f coil advance timing on flywheel to around 15-20 degrees and you if all porting etc is good you'll get 12500+ rpms

Hey rich rz , I want to put one of these on my scooter but wanted to ask you some questions . My current engine is an Ie48F that is mounted in the left side of the bike , sprocket is on the right side and it uses a gear reduction gear box so that it will pull to the right instead of the left . The mounting holes for it are 100mm diagonally across the clutch bell , Do you know the mounting hole spacing size for the clutch housing on this Kadee engine ? Thanks .

MIKE Balderree for 78mm clutch engines, the bolt spacing is 70mm. Or 2.76”.. it fits bladez, evo, goped scooters. I suggest buying the aftermarket cylinder off alibaba if you want non restricted version.

MIKE Balderree I think i show my port work on one of my videos🤔. Get a replacement cylinder kit from alibaba, they come unrestricted. But yeah I recommend PNW’s engines. Hes a standup fella, and out there putting in work. So go get it if you want torque.

MIKE Balderree dont port yourself if you aren’t willing to ruin your top end, or make it run worse? First I recommend practicing, and studying how to, what works, & what doesnt. Trial and error experience

I use the carb and manifold from the Chung Yang gp460 engine. You can find it at Daves Discount Motors. (Ddm). Discount code (ddm). You will have to elongate the bolt holes on the mani to make it fit. I bought a MB linkage to fit the hda223 carb. A better carb would be the hda-48... i think more low end power.

Motorbikesbyjason the coil is limited to 9500 rpm . If you find a way to modify on a different coil, that would be the solution.

By the way my Goped GTR hit 52 mph geared 10/56 and got there quite quickly with my old 63cc I eventually stripped the threads on the flywheel side of the crank experimenting with flywheel timing. Be carefuI with that. I just ordered a new one online, from Walmart lol. 185 shipped. Crossing my fingers it's unrestricted.

Are we brave enough to open up a cdi thing? U think there may be a switch inside? Some knob or screw to control rpms?

Waldo's Project ive looked into if it’s possible to un restrict a coil, but no luck. May have to dig deeper. Or, see if another coil can be modded on. Timing has to be perfect. Rockit advance key positioned advanced or retarded doesnt help performance on this motor.

@@arrepuess so I ordered a new coil. There r after market ones u can set time n all that the power spark. But it comes with a battery n trigger state or some shit. Electronic aftermarket type shie. Neways I ordered a new stock coil. To try n open up the bottom. Cut it open n see if I cannfind a knob inside to adjust rev limit. Wish me luck. Im ok with the 20 dollar loss. Lols. Hope we can rev up to w.e. U know what im talking about right? Alota cdis if u open supposedly a knob available.

Yes its the stock kassei 63cc ignition coil module assembly. Same rubber ugly square spark plug boot n all. Coil n module thing tog. Its sealed like melted rubber tog. Atleast mine. I dunno how imma cut n open it yet. But wish me luck. If there is a rev limiter. There should be a knob somewhere inside. Lols wish me luck for both of us. Haha. Lols. 63cc n imagine like 14000+ rpm. If i find it. Ill definately make a video.

Waldo's Project like i said, i highly doubt there will be a knob, but if there is, that would be very sweet. Good you are giving it a go. Because finding a way to bolt on a different high rpm coil would be a bitch, but doable. Id check out vids or specs on small engine coils. So far i havent seen any with adjustments, unless its an msd module, but thats a different story

I find mine a pain in the arse to start when warm . There is a spot where it sucks arse ,and refuse to restart ! It has OK power, but it sucks the fuel down fast with stock exhaust! I have a new kind of exhaust that is super efficient, way more power,and lower noise ! I will put one on ... next week

Sounds like your carb is out of tune. Get you a tunable walbro 15mm replacement barrel carb. Or upgrade to hda style. But that takes knowledge. Check compression if it struggles to start at times. Could need a new ring if you run it hot at times.

Waldo's Project grind it open to flow perfect through the transfers. Squish clearance wouldnt accept less. I know theres an alternate cylinder which clears with a thin gasket in AliExpress.

Waldo's Project im waiting on a new phone holster clip then ill take some new footage. It does make impressive power the way i modded it. Id improve a the carb and mount a new higher rpm coil. But thatd be something for a machinist. Stay tuned. Soon ill show what i have going.

Waldo's Project i did run it with the can for a bit. And it had stock carb. Didnt have much acceleration. carb and pipe made it a lot better. You get the jetpro pipe?

My port job was only the restrictor plate and to the carb spacer plastic thing. Also ground down part of it to attach the 223 carb. I smoothend the burrs inside the venturri. No porting on piston or ports. Maybe next engine. I may drill out n lighten piston. I didnt dunno about crabkshaft balancing. N dont wanna unbalance it. I dunno if piston weight effects it. Possible cut chambers shallow on top n curve piston by exhaust side. Didnt map nor think massive enough gains compared to the mods i was gunna order. Not for the time imo. Maybe port top of exhaust. Case reeds maybe a cool build for em. Business idea. Make n sell ported gaskets. N metal cut spacers.

I also seens the inside of the cylinders n ports n was suprisrd at the machining. No burrs to port. Cleannnnnnnnn. U mentioned something about squishband. N i just assumed well engineered enough engine. N like the videos of the 63ccs 71ccs. Enough. But ur video gave me the confidence to open up a brand new engine. Haha.

Philip Yun its should be bolt on. However you may not like how it runs stock. Its performance restricted. Mine runs super powerful though... but needed port job and better carb.

I will derestrict it. prob a light port. dunno much about porting so mostly polishing n maybe small burrs n slight slight rounding of ports. i have an exhaust and carb ordered as well. for the 49cc. i hope that the 49cc parts bolt up. lols I really really want a video of ur 63 running. haha what do i gotta do for it?

Philip Yun i have to get a gopro and have been procrastinating 😅. You will be good if you bore out the restricted metal spacer. I now run a walbro hda22 carb from the gp460. But, i think it would make more torque with the hda-43... the one that comes with the zenoah g62. Im glad you appreciate my video. Thank you.

Its very torquey. Thats its main quality. For specs you may want to research some more.

Waldo's Project not if you get the right carb for it. It shouldn’t be too small or too big. A wt style carb is too small. You need an HDA or bore approximate bore size... at least 15mm ventury for this motor. Anything smaller will choke it.

Shahid Khalid Abbasi i recommend you buy the replacement cylinder and gasket. It comes non restricted. In alibaba express i think 🤔... its been so long I forget. But its there. Research a bit and get it.

Shahid Khalid Abbasi i ported it, i used a dremel and carbide burr set to grind out the base gasket. Study the video and others well. Have some fun with it. The easy route is to buy the non restricted replacement cylinder. Make sure all air ways are free and clear. Or send it to someone that knows. PNW porting on Facebook soups em up.

Anyone with a good idea how to make a strong enough engine mount? All lower engine holes is M5 which seems a bit weak. Only way I see it is making something with the bełl housing M6 holes. anyone tried this? Will it break? Does this engine vibrate alot?

Olle Thelin sitting it on a mount and bolting from under should be the best way imo. Otherwise if you do the clutch mount “like i did” it works well, but more stress as its hanging, and its quite heavy & torquey. The motor vibrates, not too too much though. Remember its chinese and probably not the best balanced. I have it mounted on a goped riot.

@@arrepuess Thank you for the quick response, exactly as I was thinking having the engine hanging could not be optimal. By bolting from under you suggest the three fuel tank bolts? Maybe a combination could be the best way...

Hey np, i didn’t remember it only had 3 small bolt holes underneath. “ im used to other motor”. You can fab up an L shaped mount for extra support & use the lower clutch bolts, or all? Gsr gopeds use 78mm clutch / motor mounts you can look into. I have mine mounted from the clutch side on an off-road goped riot. Havent had problems yet, but then I hardly ever use it. With the work i did to this engine i must say im impressed with the power it makes. It pushes my heavy arse up some pretty steep dirt hills you would typically hike. Once in the power band “ if you have a pipe”. Theres no stopping it.
