Jeff Springer Great review. I had the phone for about 2 months, great phone, great cameras, performance is really smooth, battery life is good depending on how much you use your phone during the day and charges really fast. I don't mind the software too much, it's not too bad. Only thing that's really missing to make this a perfect phone is to fix the notification; I wanna see my messages on the lock screen. Other than that, great phone.

I bought a new Huawei Honor 10 which has just come to market today. Got the same chipset with Mate 10 pro, better cameras, smaller screen size and battery, same UI. It is still on the way, I will let you know if it is more worth than the Mate 10 or not later.

A decent review tbf. I have this phone, and it's exceptional value for money. I see people complaining about EMUI....just change it. Job done. Only downside is no HJ. It comes with an adaptor though and I've had no issues whatsoever with it after 4 months. At half the price of the I-Phone X it's an absolute no brainer....

Adam Akmal honestly Adam it's unbelievable. I get 3 days easily during the week (while at work) but even at the weekend when I'm literally never off it it lasts the full weekend. And with its super charger, it takes 45 mins to charge. Just awesome tbh mate.

I am an older women but like to try keep updated but don't want to pay for things i don't need but also I don't want a cheap phone call text only phone. I loved this review I watched a couple others on YT and they just did not make sense to me. I have an old galaxy s4 so feeling a bit behind right now and its done me well but not only is it outdated IMO its showing its age does not respond as well as it use to and battery dies fast now. The headphone Jack is not a issue for me at all I don't use my phone for music or podcast or any thing like that. Also thank you for telling us about the outside seeing the screen outside is important to me unlike the S4 I can't see a darn thing LOL. I own and loved my Huawei Mate 9. Because I want Android Pie, I just ordered a lightly used Mate 10 Pro for $210 and I'm looking forward to getting it when it arrives Friday. I use my Raycon Bluetooth ear phones so the missing jack is a non-issue. My car has Intellilink so it connects via Bluetooth when I get in. The phones feel, battery length, speed, video quality, and features make the Mate 9 my favorite phone. I'm hoping the 10 Pro's aspect ratio doesn't disappoint me as my Galaxy S8 did. I also don't like the fact that the Chinese military has access to my phone but I have no government secrets to hide so its a non-issue so far as long as I have access to Android updates. I do hate that there is no wifi calling available for my Mate 9 on T-Mobile but I use Google Voice to get past that. I am happy with the phone and hope I will be happy with the 10 Pro.

John Caban Don't change the pixel 2. Pixel 2 will be the first to get Android 9.0. Huawei phones only update once or twice. And you have a better camera on the pixel 2.

I have to say this was one of the best reviews I've seen on the Mate 10 pro as I've been looking to get another phone. I have or had S9+, S8+, S8, S7, S6, S5, S4 lol, LGV20 LG G2, LG G3, LG G4 LG V30 Moto G6 and a few others lol. I have never owned a Huawei and was reading up on the Mate 10 Pro but couldn't find much info when trying to compare it to the likes of newer phones like S9+ which I have and wanted to know how it compared both camera wise and display as those are my to biggest things I look for in a camera. Thank you very much for actually talking about the key points I think much look for in a phone. I watch TV, KZbin 1080p-4k video at highest available my phone offers so it's important that you put it's display comparison to the number one display brand being Samsung. Then the camera the Pixel 2 XL is like the standard for 2018 with the S9+ right there with it and you gave good points. You truly made my opinion up to give it a try. Thanks

can't be too accurate but on light to moderate usage you'll most likely endup with more than 50% at the end of the day ...... on heavy usage you could still probably get thru the day ..... on some heavy usage days i've used up 50% batt in about 5-6hrs ..... let's just say this is the first phone i've owned that i can get thru the day without ever looking for a charger ..... my car charger has actually become somewhat useless ...... and when i do get home and charge it .... maybe 30minutes is enough time to get it back up for the next day's use

Hello Jeff, nice personal review for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. I see that you used the Action Launcher as your personal fav, I have a Nova Launcher Prime installed but I noticed when I restart the phone it goes back to the stocked Emui 8 home Launcher, it just somehow revert back to Huawei default for some reason. Do have any issues with your Launcher or some settings you did change to prevent it from going back to Default?

The reason the mate 10 pro doesn't have a headphone jack is because it has a giant 4000 mah battery inside. They used the space for more battery (unlike apple which made the space empty).

You can try overclocking the CPU of the mate 10 lite. It will be even faster than the pro. And it has 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM and an 18:9 aspect ratio and 4 cameras

The pro has a way bigger screen, and its AMOLED rather then LCD, its much better. It is lower resolution then the mate 10 though, im not sure why, perhaps to improve battery life, either way i have the pro and i think the screen is miles better. LCD's just hurt my eyes now on phones.

Jeamie Montoya I got the 10 pro a few weeks ago. By the time I traded in my old phone it was just less than £400 so half the price of the p20 pro. Apart from the 3 camera's and more recent Huawei software, although the phone is running on Android 8.0 (aka Optimus prime [shout out to floss] with great customisation) it's the same chip and 6gb ram as per the p20 pro. So for me was a no brainer in terms of actual specs (most of my photos are cat pics anyways). Ur best option is to try a few in store and see which you prefer. So far it charges ridiculously fast, the battery life is truly amazing, the WiFi reception is better than my old phone, decent speakers, for me it's a major major go lol

Gee Dee The main difference is their aspect ratio. The non pro version has a wider screen than the the pro version. And the pro version is ip67 water resistant while the non pro is splash resistant only. Lastly the non pro version has expandable memory card which the pro lacks. That's all
