As a result, it makes it an ideal for business and trades people to use. Eh. I think Samsung's is more premium looking and consistent. This one is oddly thin and feels cheap. And it's a little too complicated in it's hardware. The only thing I prefer with this is the larger outside screen vs Samsung's Fold small outside screen. But I'm sure that'll change in the next model.

Nah, it's worse having that seemingly fragile plastic screen on the outside of the entire phone. It would have been better if it had folded in the same way the Galaxy Fold does. The only thing good about it, is that it does look quite a lot better when it is folded vs the Galaxy. But its design is I think flawed with it being on the outside. Come to think of it, wouldn't it have been just as easy to have it fold on the inside? So no, Huawei's implementation is so much worse.

Not at all. Mate x has 270 degrees of its screen exposed just waiting to break and scratch. Mate x will get kicked in the ass literally by itself. Notch is there for a reason. Not for fun. Notch allows you to have video calls in tablet mode which is especially useful while multitasking. Can't say the same for mate x which sacrificed all functionality and reliability for style.

This screen looks larger and the phone is larger but the way they did it feels cheap. It's very thin, the screens are exposed at all times, and the design feels slightly complicated. Over time...will the screen be able to take the constant folding? I prefer the Galaxy Fold because it looks more premium, is not a complicated design, and when folded it has a metal/glass shell for travel. The hinge is also very premium and strong that's meant to last the thousands of folds. It may have a smaller screen on the outside but it's built better. The Fold 2 will probably have a larger screen and build.

Who thought it was a good idea to fold the display outwards?! The Fold looks like a 2nd iteration device in its first year... even the hinge mechanism. The Fold takes the cake by Light years.
