The first tri-fold phone was made by Samsung. The reason it didn’t went MP is the same reason many people who experiencing when using this phone. You have to soft inner screen exposing outside. On top of that, Huawei hinge is not in a good quality so it either breaks on its own or it damages the OLED screen even when it bends into the direction it was designed to.

It's actually funny when you think about it... All other flip or fold phones have two completely different screens on the device; a bigger(outer) and a smaller(inner) screen. This Tri-Fold, on the other hand, actually has only one display altogether. 🤔

This would actually be my main concern. Other folding phone have a hard GLASS exterior, with the soft folding screen on the inside. This one is one big, unprotected soft screen. Seems it would be easy to damage.

Nah… the soft screen is exposed and will take the full hit when it falls, and in pocket will be able to scratch up very easily! Also it is way too thin. JerryRigEverything would have a field day with his bend and scratch tests. There is no way this phone will hold up 2+ years of normal use. Ain‘t no way people gonna pay that price for something that is doomed to break! Sometimes being the first is not the achievement to be proud of. Having a fundamental solid solution on which one can build upon in the future is the real goal.

Great innovation but You can't daily it let's be practical dude one hinge in already a weak point and 2 hinges plus the extreme thinness heat desperation would be a task on the top even huawei is back into their actual glory with the US ban lift and all such stuff personally I don't trust such a brand ever with my personal and financial data heck no personally in my opinion the z fold 6 is the best foldable out in the market despite lack of innovation and stuff it is more reliable sustainable with 7 yrs of os updates and samsung's brand value switched back to s24 u from z fold 5 due to poor battery z fold 7 series would be my next switch
