What a good interview conducted! Ken HU basically very cool, nice, humble and cooperative during his interview. This kind of top management person really could bring the evolution and change to the company in term of simplifying the management especially when Huawei growing bigger and bigger! Huawei started venturing into ICT and they put a lot of resources and efforts to compete with HP, Cisco and EMC. I could see that Huawei basically would take the advantages of its status as Telcom leader to ensure they are successful in ICT. Definitely it is not easy but i strongly believe Huawei could make it happens. Well, I hope my future company will take the opportunity to take over some market shares in Telecom from Huawei, which is now evolving to ICT. I am looking forward to join a new company and ensure my future company will evolve and make a success in telecom industry.. When Huawei growing bigger and bigger, the more difficult for management to manage the company effectively! Huawei management started basically based on commander type with orders from top to down. This kind of management still prevailing very much in Huawei. Huawei announced the company is MNC status, but not pure Chinese company. That is true where Huawei has been operating in 170 counties worldwide with around 150K employees. The 60% contribution of revenue out of China has endorsed Huawei as MNC company and it is a biggest company in China operating such big business out of China. Nonetheless, Huawei still not able to fully transform into true MNC due to language barrier, where most of Chinese expatriates are still not proficient in English. I experienced in my department where this department is 100% Chinese either local or China! All the staffs in the department must able to speak Mandarin because all meetings are conducted in Mandarin and 90% of emails are in Mandarin. I was pity to those local colleagues who know how to speak Mandarin but not able to read/write. This reflected Huawei staffs from China are not willing to learn English and make English as the official language for communication when operating out of China. That was very disappointing point where Huawei staffs typically in Malaysia still not ready to respect our local multi-racial culture by making English as the first official language in the company!

I think the ability to use English is getting more important especially because Huawei has been focusing a lot on its overseas market. In the recent western countries' attack at the company, if it's senior executives could speak fluent English and communicate directly with the western media, things will become so much easier when defending the company.

Yes...security risk is for only the U S A, because the U S intelligent agencies can't do backdoors on Huawei products to spy everyone on this planet earth, from foreign leaders to their people.

Alex Mathews you asked about security risk? Why you don't ask your government they are the ONE build backdoor and spy on every one if you don't believe then ask Snowden. China may surveillance camera over the places (every street), I just came from China and I felt safe walks around over the late-night and when a car accident occurs the police and ambulance, firetruck there in No time. No rubbery anywhere like in your country innocent got shoot dead each day and how safe is that.
