Great video and great idea on the speed loader. I’m planning on getting a GK1 pistol soon, so I’ll be taking a closer look at your accessory for sure. Be well.

Thanks Eitan. I have two more videos coming out this GK1. One on the best slug to use, and another on pellet accuracy. This pistol is really fun to shoot.

@ I like to remind myself that I’m a prepper first, an air gun enthusiast second. This p.c.p. checks both boxes. It’s powerful, accurate, well built and Huben makes a 5000 p.s.i. hand pump that could fill it in a bug out scenario; let alone the fine quality options available to convert it into a pistol/carbine.

@@backyardairguns Looking forward to it very much. I’m also interested in figuring out the best slug weight, in case I want all 17 available shots (38 grain?).
@backyardairguns2 ай бұрын
@@eitangrinspon1637 This thing is extremely slug picky. You need to run slugs that have 6.46 diameter. Most slugs in 25 cal have a 6.35 diameter and they slide in the chamber and cause the pistol to jam. The best (and only so far) slug that works great in the GK1 is the Altaros ATP Smooth Slug in 50 or 51g that are 6.46 diameter. I have a video explaining this coming soon.

Evanex rex p .50cal, Aea .50 Max pistol. There are a lot of big bore, low cost PCP pistols out there. Their about $600 a piece laying down over 100+ fpe
@backyardairguns2 ай бұрын
I have the AEA 50 MAX and T9 357 pistol on my list to acquire and do a review on.
@jbhk79772 ай бұрын
That's no comparison. The Rex is a single shot and the AEA Max pistol is a bolt action. Also, both are not really pistol sized especially the Max. You can empty the GK1 (17 rounds) in a few seconds. Other brands have still a long way to go before they can match the GK1. The Bintac T9 is a nice semi auto alternative, but hardly a pistol.

Nice video, very informative. Curious your thoughts on power / pellet weights. Wouldn’t it make more sense to use a lighter pellet and turn down the power some to increase shot count , does that make sense. I have one of these in .22, have not shot it much, but I will be getting a speed loader from you, Thanks for sharing.
@backyardairguns2 ай бұрын
The Speed Loaders works really well on this pistol. As for weight... yes, you can use lighter pellets and turn the power down to get more shots. I like the power. :-)

Understand. I have a backyard full of birds and squirrels and I never take a single shot at them because they don't bother me. However, I have a big issues with possums that get in my fenced backyard. They carry disease and they eat my pugs dog food and the give him fits. The GK1 is a great pistol.

Wow this is a crazy good review. I would expect this channel to have a lot more subs. I HAVE A QUESTION THOUGH. On the huben website they have the new regulated GK1's also availible. They are almost 2k though. Which would you get and why?! I can't decide.
@backyardairguns28 күн бұрын
Hi Nolan. I really appreciate that. I have seen the regulators you can buy for the GK1. They are expensive. For me, I want this pistol unregulated so the first 2 or 3 shots are at Max pawer. You will not get that if this is regulated.

I have a entire video on shooting slugs in the GK1. Altaros is the only slug I found that does not jam this pistol. The GK1 is extremely slug picky. The slugs need to be 6.46 in diameter to cycle correctly. Altaros makes 6.46 slugs in 25 cal and they shoot amazing in the GK1.

Okay I'm a noobie so I'm uninformed but curious--what fps/fpe would you be at to have consistent output given its not reg? I'm sure it's ammo dependant so say given whatever rounds you've found it likes?
@backyardairguns2 ай бұрын
We love noobies. I have several more videos coming out on what this pistol like to shoot. Because it is not regulated, every shot will drop in fps and fpe. so you will never get a consistent shot string from this pistol. However, it still shoots accurate at falling speeds. For example, I can shoot 17 rounds, which is what the magazine hold, and all of them be very accurate. I shoot the heavier 34g pellets from AEA, JTS, and JSB. I have a slug video coming out for the GK1. The GK1 is very slug picky.

I bought one from a dealer. The magazine lever broke right away and the trigger went out. I called the dealer and told him about it. I was polite and respectful , but the dealer blocked my calls and won't answer my texts. I called "Huben Jacky " from the internet . She texted me that they are the manufacturer and not liable for what their dealers sell. I think I just got screwed by huben and their dealer for $1369. I never got more than about 300 fps out of it w/ ammo that should give me over 900 fps. I am 80 and have been shooting since 6. This is not right. If someone sells a product they should stand behind it. Based on what happened w/ me , I do not recommend anyone buy this gun. Huben and s fla airguns are aware of this and still refuse to answer.
