Joachim Pedersen If you google it you will find plenty of sources. I don’t know your supplier preference or location so it’s best you research and choose. It’s most likely your camera cable though. 👍

Thanks for the video. Had my first crash today and everything is fine except the yaw motor doesn't work so the video shakes rendering taking video useless and therefore the zino useless. I was hoping that a ribbon came loose and when I put it back together it will be fine again. It isn't. I don't know if I should buy a replacement camera or get another zino and keep this one for spare parts.

update: I ended up taking it apart to check connections and stuff and it all looked good and got it back on and same thing, just shaky footage, still recording and good quality just ever so slightly shaky. enough to make it annoying and not even worth it. if anyone figures this how or husband releases the "tool" to put a new camera in let me know.

@ yes I would think that would help. unfortunately mine didn't help because I had a shaky gimbal and no error code but with the error code it may fix it!

The gimbal on my zino suddenly stops working. No crash and no fall whatsoever. Updated with the latest firmware. The gimbal would not move or do a thing but the camera is ok.

hey QC GUY, i just updated latest firmware and now when i powered up the up the zino, the gimbal was humming at a high frequency. havent flown it like this yet but noise tends to stop when the drone is moved. do you have a fix for this please?

Sorry so late but it may need a calibration. Most likely it needs blown out or a cable is loose and causing it to hang up and over work the motor.

Hello QC guy, I'm receiving error 0x0080 can't initialize the Gimbal, I noticed that when turn on the Gimbal doesn't do the initial testing it just shakes a little bit, it is not stuck or anything like that. Have you ever had this error before? Thanks for your help

For that you need the gimbal tool and calibration software for that tool in most every case. I have a video on it and how to do it in my list of videos.

If it's shaking a lot and fast like a big twitch then it's a connection in the camera or the board. So far that has happened in 4 that I fixed so I think that is the problem you have.

After an accident my ZINO broke down and I assumed it was the Gimbal. I have bought one and installed it according to this excellent tutorial: HOW TO REPLACE CAMERA & 3 AXIS GIMBAL However, after changing it and introducing new firmware, the gimbal jerks when restarting the drone, it becomes inert and I get a message "the gimbal is protected. Check that it is not stuck". What I can do?

Chad R I recently helped a guy do it and it was a disaster! I have done it by loading the very early firmware onto the quad to get it to recognize it and then could update it with the latest and those quads are still flying today but in this last case it would not recognize the camera and all I can think of is newer firmware won’t allow my method. It’s best to wait the wait but keep bugging them at the same time for this part and tool. It’s ridiculous!!!!

QC GUY thanks for the fast response brother. The video was on point and it was easy to take the camera out and look it over but I believe it must be a ribbon that is internal that is the problem. I have made 3 inquires to hubsan and I’ve replied to them all and also emailed Sam lee and absolutely no response at all yet. The first inquiry was over a month ago, now the gimbal issue. This is why I should stick with dji products, their service is top notch and I got my fly away spark back in a couple weeks...thanks for all the great videos either way

kevin bellanger No, at the time it wasn’t available anywhere ...they don’t sell them or the required software tool they now say you need to do this. There is just now a supplier selling them but I have yet to hear anyone say they got one or installed it. I advise to wait till Hubsan gets off the pot and does something about making it available.

It means the screws for mounting are short or long. Front motor is long and rear is short. The motors are the same but just different screws so if you have your old screws it doesn't matter.

Those screws are so tiny. I don't have a proper screwdriver for them, because I broke the flex moving the drone up and down. You better unplug that flex and remove de entire module.

Need the right screwdriver set and I file the tip off just a tad so they fit better. That screwdriver they give you is for the props with Philips head screws. 😂

Hi, thank you for a fantastic video. I've just replaced my gimbal with a brand new one following your video, and when I turn the drone on, the gimbal goes crazy, flapping and flailing in every direction. It occasionally stops, but then starts again. I have double checked and triple checked the connections, they are all tight; the tops of the ribbon cable connectors where they connect to the drone (on the hubsan zino pro) were bare metal, so I put the foam pads on top of them which were in place on the outgoing gimbal' connectors. Do you know what might be causing this? It seems almost definitely a connection issue. The camera works fine, so could it be the motor ribbon cable? I barely touched it during fitting and it's a brand new gimbal, how likely is it that a ribbon cable is faulty? Thanks so much for any advice you can offer.

That’s normal when you replace with a different one. It needs to be calibrated with the calibration cover and software. I have a video on doing this calibration as well… You do that and you will be fine 👍🏻

Motor plus long screw is front and motor plus short screw is rear. I am loading a video right now on how to replace motors and esc's. You should replace motors and esc's at the same time because it takes time and often people think the motor is bad and it is really the esc that is bad. Replace both!

Hi QC guy. I have Hubsan H117S Zino, When launching the drone, the camera vibrates. Once it stops vibrating it cannot be moved by the remote. Otherwise, it does not smudge and is clearly visible

Gimbal calibration tool and software procedure most likely. Is it giving you a gimbal error code in the app under the gimbal tab? 0x0080 is generally the code in that situation.

If your gimbal isn't moving at all you may also have a connection problem inside the quad or on the gimbal.

Why do you think you need to replace the complete camera/gimbal?

@@QCGUY So, I'm the guy that wants to mount an Insta ONE X to the top of my Zino and get aerial 360 flying footage. In testing the addition of adding 5 ounces of weight to the top of the Zino, I was also the idiot that rather than checking where "center" of the drone is said, "this looks like a good spot" and placed the weight there. It took off just fine but then nosed down and flew straight into the ground of the parking lot pretty hard. Yeah, second idiotic move that didn't test it in the grass. Anyhow, the camera is pretty scratched up, does work but I get, "Gimbal initialization error, please restart the aircraft" every time I turn it on. All the parts move ok but when I spin the camera down by hand, it will just stay there and it doesn't respond to the gimbal up and down controls. The lens looks ok but it's pretty scratched up on the sides and back where the four slots are. It also gives me video to my phone. It took a pretty hard hit and I think it's toast. Thoughts? Thanks!

@@reidoverturf First, your not a idiot! Just learning trail and error the hard way. lol It does sound as if a new camera is a better option. Aliexpress sells the cameras and the calibration tool you will need but here is where you need to decide what is best. Spend $100 plus shipping plus what ever the tool costs and then pay shipping to and from me for repair. These are selling right now for $235 so I would personally just buy a new one and have one for parts. Some of these parts coming from these sellers haven't proven to always work either. I have had them send me bad cables and 3rd party copies of genuine parts.
