Nice video on upgrading the FW was easy, prior to my upgrade I had the TBE because I did not do a compass calibration before my flights today................Sucks have to do this all the time.

Thanks for the great video. I just received my Zino on Saturday and unfortunately it had the old firmware. This video made it pretty easy to tackle, now to complete the transmitter update next.

Phew - that was complicated! I do like Chinese puzzles, have a few wooden ones AND a set of Tangram stones but this was a whole new level! One would think that if you have two bars on top of each other with the option 'upgrade' right next to it and you just successfully selected the top bar and upgraded the firmware, all you have to do is select the bottom bar for the gimbal and click 'update'. No such luck of course: "RX Update Time Out!" - as if I would know what that means. ;-) The confusion comes IMO from the recommendation to update everything 'at the same time' - which probably means: Update everything before you start flying (again). For some reason, I finally was successful only after completely restarting my laptop, go online once more, open this video once more and start again 'from the beginning' before the dreaded incomprehensible warning disappeared and the gimbal was updated. Also, thanks for the heads-up on only putting the 2 'bin' files on a freshly formatted micro-SD card. Worked like a charm. Great video! Really helpful!

Dear Chris, thanks a lot for this and other very informative videos you created. My Zino has a wi-fi connection problem, red flashing light on the side. I did followed your "HUBSAN ZINO - NO WIFI - NO CONNECTION - CAMERA CABLE -ONE WAY TO FIX IT" video tutorial, opened the drone, checked all connection, took out the gimbal, checked throughoutly all possible connectio & cablse problems. I'm sure all is ok with it (btw now I fell realy proficient in assembling/disassembling of this model :) ). Once hardware was checked than I turned to software side. I followed very carefully this video but my camera IS NOT updating, after putting FAT32 formatted sd card with 2 update files only to the drone, and switching it on, no fast flasing red light appears. The red light flashes slowly as before, signalling no wi-fi problem. I tried multiple times with formatting, putting different update file verision on SD card, no succes whatsoever. What that could be? Any ideas? Could it be burned wifi module or mainboard problem? The dron is relatively new, has a few month and not many flight. Its my son who has collected his money for a long time to buy it (he's crazy about farming, tractors etc. and does pictures and movies of it). It stopped working suddenly, without any crash or flight problem. Help us please, I'm very sorry to my son that he lost his dron that he worked hard for.

It’s possible it could be the main board with perhaps the module burned out but if the camera image cable is shot you will have the same red blinking light and no wifi like you’re seeing now. It’s a cheap simple fix and I have a video for that as well. Good luck 👍

VoyagerDoc You’re supposed to do one at a time. You can do one update then close the program as hubsan recommends or it also works if you want to leave the tool open to go onto the next update but not both simultaneously.

@@wolfacer422 Leave it alone if it is not giving you any problems. This is the first big mistake people make. They have mixed versions and unreleased versions all over the place right now so I would not do a thing. Is it working ok?

I like yours better than theirs (they say the 'connected notice is on the right side...). Just updated, everything went great but the Gimbal, took 3 tries (didn't close the tool first 2 times), but after rebooting the Zino and the app, went smoothly. But as part of the process, I came across a question: what is the controller/transmitter plug designation? It's not USB-C, nor mini USB. I would like to order a short straight-through controller-to-phone-with-thick-case cable, so Lightning to - what? Can't order it if ya can't name it. Hairy Potter 101...

Hi there, can one just upgrade the AIRCRAFT without upgrading transmitter? I don't seem to get a cable to connect from transmitter to computer I also have another problem there seems to be no connection between aircraft and transmitter, as my phone screen reads "Aircraft disconnected" and nothing from there. Tried different phones, nothing!

My guess is, if you plug the USB cable into the drone and into your PC, and the little red light does not come on - that's BAD? The power button does illuminate but - no red light.

Should back up - the HZP crashed - the gimbal vibrates when I start it up but, does not do anything else. It's probably shot - but I thought I might try upgrading the gimbal software ... perhaps I have a deeper problem? I did fly the ZP after the crash - it SEEMed to be ok.

If everything on the quad works and you can't update it then it's not broke....just need to figure out what is being done wrong or what isn't working which can be a number of things. I'm not saying you are doing it wrong but I have spent a lot of time helping people that say they did it exactly as shown only to find they didn't.

Hey Chris, my Zino pro says to update the FC firmware promtly. My Zino Pro is stock from around Christmas time. I have IT V0.1.6, Gimbal V3.0.0.6 & FC V1.0.12 Is is safe to upgrade to the latest on Hubsans website do you think?
