Huda Beauty ICY NUDE Palette Review: Is It Worth the Hype?

Colourpop kills it with eyeshadows. I love that brand. Just hate the shipping time! Maybe im used to Amazon Prime and am impatient. It doesnt seem like a super impressive pallet, to me. But I don't wear eyeshadow all of the time. I am wearing the original Naked pallet today and really love the formula in that pallet. Great review as usual. I love that cool toned pink. Very pretty.

I would have totally gotten it if I didn't already have Rose Quartz, 9 shades in both of them are the same and all I really want is the silvers and whites of Icy Nude because otherwise, I just wear pinks, purples or that rose gold shade that looks like your eyelid but better and glittery.

Stone Cold Fox is my go to for simple makeup work days. But also good for darker Smokey eyes. I definitely prefer metallic over the glitter. Glitter is just so messy, and gets in my eyes. 😕 Not fun. Stone Cold Fox is definitely the first huge palette I’ve absolutely loved almost every row. But I’m also a very pale girly. 😆 So it’s obviously not for everyone. That’s why I love your videos, we have a similar shade for foundations and even similar skin type. If a foundation doesn’t work for you, it definitely won’t work for me!

The two eye looks you've created are so pretty and very complimentary to your skin tone. As soon as Huda's Icy Nude was released, I placed in my cart. I was so excited and ready to purchase this palette, I put it in my cart and then discovered I was having credit card issues. It took a couple of days to get that issue resolved and in the meantime I watched a bunch of reviews of the new Huda palette from a number of beauty creators and I ended deciding to pass on the

Not gonna lie This time of year i always go for these shades. But this year ive gone for just a single color on my eyes instead the 2 to 3 colors blended on the lids. Thank you for doing the comparison first off! I personally am not going to get it cause I don't wear chunky glitter whatsoever. I don't wear glitter shadows UNLESS the formula is exceptional and it has to be super mico fine...also, the color story isn't my favorite. I have other palettes that have very similar shades.

Thanks for comparing the ND and the Huda, I am not getting either palette as I don't need another palette. I just got the Lawless Dreamy Dozen Vol 2 at Sephora VIB sale. If I were to get one I would pick the ND, I don't like too much glitter in eyeshadow formulas.

I've got enough similar vibe shades, that I really don't need to be spending that much money on eyeshadow 😅 Totally related to "drowning in palettes "😅 I actually preferred Cloud 9, which I already have, because I'm kinda over the glitter in those extra sparkly shades. It doesn't matter how finely milled it is, I STILL end up with glitter on my face, even with NYX glitter primer. I've got an oil slick for skin 😅 AND I preferred the cooler tones of Cloud 9. Thank you so much for taking your time to make all these comparisons. I was about to pick it up but now I realise, that I am completely fine with the pretty grunge and rose quartz. I can get enough similar looks. Also the warmer shades and the pressed glitter turning me away from icy nudes. I thought this red up in the first row is more in the berry/cold red direction. For me like the perfect palette is from colourpop the Darth Vader 9pan Palette. That more blueish icy shade is pretty but I also have some single topper shades like this from Glam shop or odens eye, that I can just adding on top from every look. Thanks for saving me money 😊

Wow, Jen, that first pinky shimmer looks beautiful on your skin tone and makes your blue eyes just pop! Really pretty .. Whenever I watch a video when somebody pulls out Cold Stone Fox, I always say why didn’t I just buy that pallet years ago? I probably have 50 pallets, but I don’t have any color pop … I was too busy being a makeup snob before realizing that there are beautiful products that are from the drugstore, color and most surprising Sephora brands specially their lip liners. I absolutely love them… I just tried Sephora products last year… as I stated, I typically walked right past the Sephora stuff to the back of the store to the high-end… I have learned that drugstore make up has come such a long way 👏👏👏👏👏

Learned something new about the chunking glitter shades, you have to really go over them a few times for the glitter to “break down the pearl” to give that wet look - this is per a video done by Alexis and Christina (on KZbin Tube) or their handle lipstick lesbians on TT (saw the video on TT on this palette yesterday). Haven’t tried yet on myself. Still on the fence about getting this palette

Jen have you tried Beauty Bay Smoky palette?? I was considering getting one of the smaller ones, but then a little while back they had a sale of the big ones for 10 pounds (like $12.95 USD). 42 pans is usually way too big for me but since I was already going to buy one of the smaller ones, I couldn’t pass up that deal 😂 I’m so glad I got it! I LOVE every shade in it! It’s COMPLETELY cool toned with beautiful neutrals browns, grey, purple, etc. I’m covered on cool toned mattes now! 😂 and the shimmers in it are beautiful too!! I’ve been using it daily since I got it!

@@sternenblick9278 it’s so good!!! I’ve always been on the lookout for a true, fully cool toned palette and nothing ever really lived up to that - until the Beauty Bay Smoky palette! Every shade is actually cool toned or neutral leaning cool! It’s perfect for my very cool toned skin!

I think it's crazy that companies are doing so many cool toned palettes, yet Urban Decay with their Naked 3 palette got so much shade back in the day! I have still been using my Naked 3 (which is for sure expired) because nothing really compares - to me... I can use a little LA Colors neutral matte palette for grey/creams with it and have everything for a whole look. Don't need the glitter, either. Would rather have some fun duochromes.

Hi Jen, thanks for the video! I like your videos where you take a new palette and compare it to older ones. No, I'm not planning to buy this. It's pretty, but, Idk, it just doesn't do it for me, not for $69. If someone comes out with a good dupe, maybe I'll get that. If someone already owns Stone Cold Fox, do they need this? Granted, to my eye, the colors in SCF are more muted, and I don't see a pale pink matte shade in it. But really, SCF looks to me like it's more versatile and a better value. And I do like value for my makeup dollar. Oh, and I like the pink look you did. The blue/gray one is nice too, but the pink is really good. Maybe because it goes with the sweater you're wearing.

I went through 11:11, Cloud 9, and tried to recreate the Huda palette. I ended up using the new Colourpop Metallics paletteand it was perfect. I tried using some warmer tones from grunge and it did not look good on me. I can’t use those super chunky shadows because they get in my eyes and cause irritation.
