China is the elephant in every room-the defining and confounding foreign policy challenge of the current generation. Policymakers in the United States and around the globe seek to address the Chinese Communist Party’s multifaceted threat to national security, economic vitality, and human rights and values. But only strong US leadership can effectively counter China’s rise.
In his latest book Countering China’s Great Game, author Michael Sobolik explores one of the CCP’s most ambitious foreign policy endeavors, the Belt and Road Initiative, to explain both why and how China seeks to reshape world order in its own image. He also offers a blueprint for how Washington can identify and exploit Beijing’s strategic weaknesses.
Join Hudson for a conversation about the book, what the US is doing to counter the increasing CCP threat, and how the US can lead the free world to effectively counter the CCP’s rise.

Tibet is not kidnapping Chinese citizens nor blowing up buses. Martin Luther king did not kill people to gain human rights.

You must be CCP. Immediately deflecting criticism away from Chinese genocide and trying to frame Israel’s self defense as a genocide. So obvious.

US citizens are enjoying these long-term benefits of US government policies: Economic inequality, inflation, stagnant real wages for the last fifty years, costly healthcare, an expensive education system, student loan debt totaling $1.7 trillion with an average balance of $38,000, poor public transportation systems, racial inequality, mass incarceration, the militarization of police, deteriorating infrastructure, housing affordability, homelessness, the opioid epidemic, and gun violence. The Chinese population does not enjoy any of the above benefits. The IPSOS 2023 Global Happiness Level Report lists China at number one position with the happiest people in the world at 91%, with Saudi Arabia second at 86%. The US military is the most powerful, richest, technologically advanced, experienced, and competent in the world and will fight and defend the US against any country that attempts to take away these benefits from the American people. The US military prioritizes the welfare of the US people and will ensure that they will enjoy these benefits forever. The US and its allies are prioritizing funding conflicts and spreading its version of democracy to other countries to cripple and slow down their growth. Anywhere in the world, if there is a border dispute, it is usually the result of a line drawn by an Englishman; if it is an internal dispute, it is usually the US fueling it. Difference in implementation of divide and conquer strategy.

You have a great untapped ally in the Cape on Good Hope, if you choose to support her. Without the seas the West loses trade control and thus will end its hegemony. We see how vulnerable the Straight of Hormuz is. In the Cape of Good Hope (Southern tip of South Africa), there are growing multiracial, democratic, independence movements. These are serious endeavors, fully legal within local and international laws and conventions. Of these, you will find the Cape Independence Party and the United Cape States. You can secure this important trade route and help secure the West by simply supporting these movements politically. No military or financial aid required, what we need we will purchase from you at market value. An ally that remains true and defends the interests of the West. We will continue our course, with or without you, yet I know that the West and the Cape will greatly and equally benefit if you support us. I trust you find me sincere. Thank you for all your hard work. I wish you all the best.
