Ele overall lost damage on the spells themselves compared to before, so the elemental mastery buff was needed. the multiplier from Ascendence to it was overkill and is pretty much what gave the fire spec this crazy burst as you and your minions just delete people with the massive extra overload damage in that window. A simple nerf to Ascendence overload damage to 50% extra damage would have been enough, and they could have kept the 75% regular overload damage. But as usual... they completely miss the mark and go heavy handed like the sad muppets they are... really shows us how incompetent these guys truly are.

@@MrSheduur Ya the issue here was stacked modifiers + mastery scaling. They made this problem. The answer is nerf one or the other. They chose to nerf one side but 2x. Ascendance is basically gonna do crap dmg. Ele will lose all kill power. It was massively overtuned, but mostly because you could stack bloodlust + primordial wave + power infusion and absolutely obliterate people. Your solution is correct: make it 50% (not 25%), and keep the regular overload. If they really wanted to tone things down they could remove the extra overloads in ascendance and just tune the damage.

We could bind advanced turning options to strafe in deep breath... So you may have saw some evokers the past few months zigging around and landing good breaths, Not just slowly u-turning but actual strafe left/right slightly while in it... and they completely removed this... Ive been playing evoker with strafe breath binds since tww... removing this and not buffing the base scale commander steering is the biggest slap in the face and completely makes the class unplayable at high mmr. I can literally not land a breath on more then 1 person now, andnever on a healer.

Honestly for PvP I think they need to take a page out of Mists remix. I think like normal, every PvP piece purchased comes with versatility on it. Both honor and conq gear. Keep the stats as they currently are on the vendors. Then with honor be able to buy a PvP gem that can change the gear stat to the stat wanted. Eg, Sapphire = haste, emerald = crit etc. Make them cost like 500 honor. So you can keep a few of them on toons for when a new patch comes out it's an easy change over of gear stats. I find it odd that we can't just gear out a character exactly how we want.

You purchase the conquest gear one time, then you can change the stats to whatever you want whenever you want so you test different builds ect. But they barely care about pvp so this will prob never happen. Most people that play pvp don't want to do any bs grindy stuff to just play the type of game they want which this dynamic of gearing with stats and being unable to change builds easily is just another factor to pvp maxxers not entirely loving the game and most stop playing because they're tired of this bs. Same thing with how they don't give a f about pvp tier sets. Like why are we not allowed to have our proper stats that we want (vers+whatever your desired secondary stat is). Destruction Buffs aren't as big as they might seem. You don't have Immolate cus of hero talent. Almost never press Incinerate or Rain of Fire. Conflag is not in PvP. So just a 10% to Chaos Bolt which seems more than fine to me. It's hard to get off and it hits for less than most instant cast spells. Hits for 1.5M on average.

E.g. if you’ve already purchased the belt for 700 conquest but your stats have changed, you can swap for the other conquest belt? Perhaps you lose enchants but it would fix the stat change issue.. and you’ve already saved the conquest once so I’m not sure it’s a big deal? People could experiment more / respec more etc etc

The elemental shaman nerfs to elemental overload is for both pvp and pve. Blizzard pre tuned the overload damage in pvp before patch. This means a reduction to elemental overloads by 23.75% in pvp combat.

It seems like they completely disabled the "echo chamber" talent currently, which sets elemental overload damage to 75%. Currently overloads only deal 35% base damage. I have reset my talents, picked everything again, tried pvp and pve dummies, pvped in the open world and bgs, and its only 35% now, even though it should be 75%, (and soon 55% after nerf). I bet they just disabled it so people would not cry their eyes out.

Honestly: yes, ele is probably going from A+ / S tier down to B tier with this. The problem with ele is two-fold: it lacks strong cc and it lacks meaningful kill pressure. It gained the kill pressure in the rework, mostly because the modifier stacking during ascendance was insane (bloodlust, primordial wave, PI from a priest, and skyfury from pvp talent, with mastery stacking). It's losing the vast majority of the ascendance kill pressure. It'll be fine, but completely outshone now by every other caster.

Feeling the frustration of gems and enchants in general. I play about 15 characters because I like playing all classes to get the Mogs and some I play multiple specs I'm looking at you Lock, Evoker, Paladins, etc...However when you need 55k plus honor just to socket your character much less the cost of enchants and gems it's insane. Compound that with hey this is now the NEW way to go on your class full swap...easier most of the time to reroll another character and leveling it up. Absterge did it when he made a mistake on his toon lol.

Considering people already complain about a shrinking (and recently toxic) PvP community and a lack of healers. This position seems a bit counterintuitive to say don't like it don't play especially when I playe like 4 healers buahaha. Also, when the best embellishments for multiple classes require a gem to be socketed, but the BIS gems (precog/damage reduction) don't actually work. Thereby, gatekeeping a good amount of your damage, that's a problem for me. You like it good for you. He asked if other people were upset about it, and I responded. Personally, I preferred being able to get 5 sockets as soon as I hit max level with the 3 tiers for neck and built-in sockets on rings.

Karma, their own human racial with 60% reduction for 6sec, ToD, astral form, non target dashes, aoe cc, always one of the best bursts in the game (df season 4 for example before TWW rework), good sustain in right hands, kite machine vs brawlers and best chaise in the game with skyreach talent. so nope rog isnt best in pvp compare to some busted classes or WW monks

@@ilmw3980 WW is trash in high mmr... Its in such a awkward spot of hyrbidity without it having its "burst" like you said it was always known for. Juggling the shadowpan shit correctly while being perma snared and comboing your FoF RSK WDP combo for the knockup is impossible in a high rated lobby, you just uselessly knockstuff up and randomly burst with 0 kill potential until dampening. You pretty much now are just a annoying sustain dps that any high rated player will auto burn your karma from you without dying to, CC you mid karma 20x. Then train you to death and kill you on your trans 2x swaps. It is SUCH a fucking fun meme class to alt though and play as a high exp player... you can do insane shit on it below rival 2 rating. Other guy is right about rogue though... rogue always kicks in after a few months and remains S tier for pvp.

@@austin4990 celestial tree makes you statcheck melee with fist animation cancel into RSK with dragonpunch almost 1stoting every1 (stack ur passive before allin ofc) + hyper mobile = super good "smurfing" spec if you are really good at WW. Personally i dont like current state of WW wo jade stomp buff, skyreach etc but still best pvp kit in the game (especially if they are not overnerfed)

​@@ilmw3980 Maybe back when it first released in MoP it could have been viewed as the "PvP class" But now nothing about it is special, Its main hindrance in higher rated pvp is Incap... its trash compared to every other classes CC... Then you could pick your own poison about what you think currently makes it actually unique, any spell you could name on the entire monks spell book, I can mirror it with another classes. They are in a good spot rn.. Just not vs high rated players on better classes. And rogue is for sure the better class with better pvp kit... Take 2 2.4k exp players out to the tanaris desert and have a mak'gora rogue vs. ww... lmao see what happens. Ill give you a hint, it wont be fun for the WW... Their is 2 ways that fight goes, and both end with the WW being dead. To trinket the opener or not trinket the opener, that is the question... but the answer is it just doesnt even matter lmfao... your fucked. The blind tossed at the WW monk as he tried to serpent kick kite out will just add insult to injury to show how many more tools the rogue has to just completely null the fuck out your spec.

The fact Ret damage didnt get nerfed in PvE is ridiculous. The fact Fury self healing didnt get nerfed is equally criminal.

Nerf in PVE shouldn't exist. It should be buffing other specs/builds. Buffing unused stuff is how meta should be defined. Not destroying a class and all enjoyment to play it.
