Hey everyone! Sorry for being gone a month just as I had gotten back into the swing of things. I had a biopsy on my face and back for skin cancer, so that made filming challenging. Then, I had to have more taken off my back AND THE NEXT DAY I got covid :( it was a wild January, and I am sorry for my absence! Haku seems so happy, her enclosure looks great! My blue tongue skink is in a 4x2x2 and it's always fun to see where she's hidden herself each day, even if she huffs at me every time I look at her lol.

I'd love to give my Northern an 8ft enclosure, he'd use every inch of it. He has a 4ft currently. I'm still living at home in my tiny bedroom, so there's no hope of upgrading yet, but once I get my own place in a year or two that'll take priority over a sofa haha. This is amazing to see.

So Long~ Our BTS is a halmahera so he's a bit shorter and wider; surprisingly with such a stubby body he really enjoys climbing, so we have a raised platform in his enclosure that he can clamber up on. it's fairly big, so we also put his big water dish up on the platform, so he climbs up there to get drinks and in turn DOESN'T drag all his substrate into his water dish, so it was win-win.

So im guessing you use reptilinks? What size do you use per feeding? I was thinking the 25g size for an adult blue tongue.

I’m saving up to buy my skinks 5ft enclosures eventually since everyone now is moving away from 4ft as the minimum might as well join lol, I was originally just going to upgrade my one giant skink but my second one is growing unhappy in his 4ft enclosure, he’s glass surfing a lot and even escaped twice., he also did a lot of poop painting, somehow coated his food bowl in poop, it was really gross, so I had to do a double upgrade.

What kind of timer do you use for lights ? I've tried a few different ones and sometimes they work for a week or they just never work 😭

I actually use a power strip with a timer built in, so one side is timed and the other side is not
