Looks like you have a cover over the uvb tube 🤔? Then the uromastyx doesn't get any pleasure from the tube, UVB is stopped by the plastic screen..

Nice setup. I wonder, when you have a sand substrate, does it need to be completely changed out every month if it's not a bioactive substrate?

So long as you're diligent about spot cleaning of any waste products or uneaten/dirty food, you can get away with doing a 100% substrate change every two or three months if you have a non-bioactive setup. If your uro is especially messy, though, it's recommended to change more frequently. Hope this helps!
