while boj serums might look small, they’re 30ml which is the same size that many other companies use. i like the packaging, and it’s still 30ml no matter what it looks like. i do wish that they had the option for larger sizes also though. personally, i like their serums and their sunscreen. they work for my skin, easy to layer, and affordable.

I know that acne patches aren’t supposed to be used frequently but I have the other Cosrx patch, Master Patch Intensive, and they work so well that I’m not surprised the original version was number 1. They’re great for keeping you from popping your whiteheads and I feel like they really do speed up healing.

They do speed up healing for suree. I did a little experiment where I avoided using pimple patches on one of my inflamed acne and it took a week longer to heal/flatten compared to my inflamed acne covered with a pimple patch. It only took me 2 days of wearing a pimple patch for it to heal/flatten. The pimple patch absorbs all the excess fluids that cause my acne to feel/look raised and simultaneously heal it.

I actually really love the Cosrx sunscreen. It’s an all around reliable sunscreen. It absorbs nicely, doesn’t sting the eyes, wears lovely under foundation and I don’t need to use a moisturizer in conjunction with this sunscreen because this is already moisturizing enough for the daytime and I have dry skin!! I’ve gone through several bottles and in fact just opened a new one today! I live in Singapore so sunscreen is highly needed and this sunscreen actually works!

I personally think judging the packaging of the boj serum is a little petty. 30ml is 30ml regardless of how wide or tall it is

BOJ is great for me. I'm seeing a some comments about the sunscreen looking "oily", and while it doesn't make my oily/combo skin look oily, the "glass skin" look looks oily...greasy. I always use a mattifying powder anyway, so it's all good. The Glow Serum is a game changer for me, and I love the sunscreen.

I agree with you about the patches, sadly. My dermatologist always told me that I shouldn't depend on them and that they can actually be the cause of more hyperpigmentation, which I can say first hand is true for me! I do love them, but I try not to use them too often.

I love BoJ sunscreen, I am very surprised that people say it's shiny and greasy, imo it's one of the most natural looking sunscreens. Comparing for example to isntree spf, it's waaay less dewy. I think it's great for oily skin, it's not too moisturizing too. But their glow serum made my skin red and I didn't like it at all.

I haven't tried the cosrx snail mucin serum, however, their snail 92 all in one cream is literally a holy grail of mine. I'm a combo, leaning to dry, acne prone, sensitive type skin, and on those dry, red, thirsty looking days this product brings me back some confidence. It absorbs well depending on the amount you use. I tend to use it day and night just because, even though it feels rich due to the cream formulation, it has never broken me out etc. About hyperpignmentation, I have been using it for years and I reckon it saved me desperate skin (I've been using it since discovering skin care) and cleared my skin up, and it definitely hydrates and calms my acne and gives that dewy look I love. Will always be in my yesstyle cart tbh

I actually like using cosrx snail mucin bcs its texture that not quick to absorb. When i have really sensitive skin i want something that will easily glide so i do not further sensitizing my skin. I like using aloe vera or other soothing gel but its too quick to absorb, so i will accidentally dragging my skin. So yeah, it will forever on my skincare stash 💖

I think the best use of acne patches is to stop you touching it and prolong the healing process. For that reason they are great coz I would joyously squeeze everything out of my pores and stops me doing that.

Omg i also have to mention, the cosrx mucin works amazing for me?! It absorbs quite quickly on my skin and definitely, i see results. Not sure about the hyperpigmentation part, but my skin overall felt more hydrated. This works as a great moisturiser-like product for me so sometimes i just use this as my last step before sunscreen in my daytime routine. I have been through like 4 bottles. Of course similarly as per mentioned by Soo, doesn’t work for everyone and that’s okay. Our skins have different personalities, what can i say 🤪😂.

I don’t know what it is, but majority of cosrx broke me out or made my skin dry. I wanted to love the brand so bad bc so many people recommended it. I tried out almost all cosrx products and the only thing that worked out for me was their birch sap moisturizer and the blackhead power liquid.

I have tried a number of Cosrx products over the years and am always underwhelmed by them. They just don't seem to gel well with my skin and (dare I say it) they seem a bit lacking in something from my point of view. I haven't tried the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen yet, as I am still besotted with the Canmake Mermaid Clear sunscreen which works well for both myself and my daughters. However, I did order it from Olive Young while it was on offer, just to give it a try.

Yeah I stopped buying them long ago. I was part of the wave when their chemical peels first got popular (their Blackhead and whitehead essences) and back then they used to be SO AFFORDABLE. like $13 dollars a pop or less. After the brand (and kbeauty in general) blew up they started selling budget products at midrange prices (the same essences are now almost double the price)

I so agree with BOJ's serum packaging 😤 they look so tiny. Their serums are also watery so they finish in a few weeks. I don't feel like spending that much on a serum which gets over within a month. I expect it to last at least 2 months max.

I think the top ranked products on yesstyle are very outdated for different reasons : first, probably a huge majority of these products are considered entry level products through the years and so many k-beauty enjoyers started with them all the way since halyu became popular 10 years ago. second, the access to latest beauty technology is super slow on yesstyle. if you order on olive young you get way newer products but they still havent managed to make their parcel go through customs and FDA smoothly (speaking of my own experience in France) so we keep ordering on sites with less available products but that will go surely through customs. thirdly, and this is a bit sad, yesstyle probably resels products that are stoked up in Korea and not selling locally anymore, rebranding it as cutting-edge technology skincare to sell it to internationals with less knowledge than the average Korean customer.

I don't get the hype for the BOJ sunscreen either. I have light-medium skin, and it leaves a slight cast on my skin. It also creases on my eyelids , and it's too moisturizing for my combination-oily skin in a tropical country.

I 100% agree with what you said about the pimple patches! My skin and inflammation from pimples has improved so much since I stopped using patches. Pimples will reduce in size and heal in 1-2days if I just apply an aha/bha treatment vs the 3-5 days if I suffocate it with a patch.

Is there any product I could use for cystic acne or period acne. This video was so informative! For cleansers, the rovectin cleanser is so good but the scent takes some time to get used to. The beauty of joseon glow serum dropper stops working when the product gets to a particular place. The serum didn't really do anything for my skin.

In my experience, there’s really not much to do for cystic acne because it’s hormonal except for getting plenty of sleep and trying to keep stress at bay. Calming ingredients like green tea/mugwort/cica can reduce the inflammation but they mostly have to go away on their own. I’ve struggled with both for a lot of my life and picking at them only leaves bad scarring.

I was having sooooo high expectations of BOJ sunscreen but i have to say, quite disappointed that it’s just not for my skin. Too oily and greasy overall :( i live in sunny singapore and have oily-dehydrated-acne prone skin btw. After application, it feels nice at first but looks too damn glossy. Throughout the day, my face looks like a greased pan 😐 but not in a good way. I’m currently using the benton airy fit (mineral) sunscreen and like the semi-matte finish!

She said it felt stingy at first too but after a few uses she said it was okay??? hahaha honestly wished that my skin was more normal to have more sunscreen options for me to love em :’)

The snail mucin really, it's like stay on top of the skin for like forever. It soothes the skin but also annoyingly not absorbing 😮‍💨 agree with that! Anyway, if you're on retinoid, how do you make use of sheet masks for daily? Can you use sheet mask and retinoid on the same day? if you use the mask in the morning, most of the time, it will be too nourishing, you have to wash it off to apply sunscreen

I hated that cosrx low ph cleanser, it stank of tea tree and dried the crap out of my skin. I ended up using it as body wash, by far in my worst list for AB products, which is a very small list as I like majority of things

Same, to me the smell was so strong that it reminded me of dishwashing soap. And it dried my skin too, it was as harsh as many other Korean cleansers I tried, dunno what is all the gentleness people are raving about 😅

Great! I had actually seen them before this video and was a bit confused. Good to know they are the real deal!. Sadly the pads are a bit expensive at Yesstyle at this point. They are 36 euros right now while on Wishtrend they are 26 euros (dollar and euro basically have the same value now). So I might wait a few days to see if the price drops as they were about 40 euros before the video dropped
