I love that they included the vitamin D3 because of the potential for lack of sunlight. Very forward thinking. Most impressive and comprehensive ration pack I've seen. Kudos to the Netherlands!
@InWeCome Жыл бұрын
Research suggests everyone can use extra D3, even up to 50 times the daily amount. And it has a slew of potential health benefits. Makes sense because our bodies were evolved in sunny climates, we spent all day outside with few if any clothing.
@adityaiyli8982 Жыл бұрын
In reality very little Vitamin D is obtained through the sun and skin. Most of your daily vitamin d is dietary and is through your food.
@snowflakehunter Жыл бұрын
This is not vitamin D. It is D3, totally different. Vitamin D helps with calcium and phosphorus retention whereas vitamin D3 helps your body absorb the energy from the food being digested. Makes perfect sense in this case as long as you do not take too much.

I always love seeing international MREs. My dad was in the army for 20 years and one of the first things he did when going to a new country was trade MREs with the local soldiers. The Dutch army uses two types of rations - a regular ration and an arctic ration for cold-weather operations. The packaging for the regular ration is made out of cardboard while the arctic ration is packaged in a plastic pouch. The arctic ration contains freeze dried meals and porridge for breakfast and has a higher level of calories. The Dutch Army also has an emergency ration but these are only supplied in time of war. 0:12 I can only imagine this will be amazing. I was engaged to a Dutch person, once upon a time. I learned many interesting things during that time.🤗🤗🤗Happy New Year! Thank you, Emmy for being yourself, and being brave enough to share yourself with us. Happy New Year, to you and your whole family (and crew).🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰💗💗💗💗💖💐💐💐💐💐💋💋🫶🏻💥💥💥💥💥

Happy New Year! That one drink from the lunch gave you a bit of trouble even when you poured out 😜 poor Emmy. It's part of why we LOVE you ❤️ You always make us and many others happy and why we chose to bring the new year in with our favorite Lady! Love to you and your family in the new year and always ❣️

I absolutely love when you try rations…. You are right, this one was huge! I don’t think I could ever eat that all in 24 hours and I am a big girl.

They certainy packed a lot into this ration, but being for "arctic" use, it's definitely needed cos cold weather needs more calories to burn... :)

We had apricot trees growing up and we always had apricot butter that Mom made. A couple years ago a storm took out the tree 😥

I would love to know the calorie total of a 24 hour ration

Go check out Steve1989MRE, he always lists the entire calorie count. If I'm not mistaken, he has contributed an MRE or two to Emmy.

I'm pretty sure it is 5300 for the day, if google is correct.

23:13 The way this Apple drink looks like reminds me of "Direktsaft" which in case every part of the apple that's been processed into apple juice is with there the little bit of fibre for the viscosity etc.

Wonder if mixing the beef bouillon into the mashed potatoes and beef would have added the salty and rich taste.

😂 so I’ll go ahead and say that the cinnamon roll is my FAVORITE thing that comes out an MRE. It’s far better than half the shiiii they throw into those meals. Like you’re stuck in the woods for weeks? Those things are to lift your spirits up with a nice cup of coffee.
