2:06 Sparta did it too with the "Hilotes" of Messenia , promissing freedom to those slaves if they fought well for Sparta and rewarding the survivors with masse executions in order to avoid their rebellion .... cruel but effective .... true story ;=(

Macedon was cool in this battle. They bet on their infantry to hold and it worked, did a ton of damage with their cav, and then the quick-thinking flank at the end to start rolling up the Egyptians.

Another brilliant vid Apollo try out Ancient Empires 2.0 mod for Attila, the battles come thick and fast in gameplay, AI is super aggressive during battles, and it allows 3 or 4 armies and navies to attack you at once.

God the Roman player was an idiot in this battle. He’s the one who drove Carthage’s elephants mad by shooting flaming arrows at the unit they were fighting. That and the entire fight he had with Egypt was just hard to watch.
