So instead of continuing with the Black Friday DLC (don't worry we will see more stuff from it here soon!) I wanted to play as the US 2nd Infantry division because I only just realized they have US Army Rangers, Shermans, P-47 Thunderbolts with anti-tank rockets, and HUGE Long Tom artillery pieces!

I like the Zoom in's to see the more cinematic side of the game. Whenever i'm playing I miss out on the cool visuals cause i'm so busy moving my troops around and microing lol.

I do indeed love the zoom in, remember in most games you can use the middle mouse to rotate the camera. Also, does the US have M26 Pershings?

Yes! The feature to get into the gritty while chaos rages all around the battlefield is an amazing feature of the Wargame series. Many players only play at top level which is a shame; the units might as well be only represented by their icons like that.

Sherm, not sure if you have them off due to preference or if the update reset them, but in your settings you can turn on the unit icons to show their armor and AP penetration values. Just tossing that info in here as it may help new people who are watching better understand the fighting chances between different units in their engagements. Cheers!

Use more mortars and they can actually get kills and save your units, also it’s pretty effective to use them in 3 unit groups. Not trying to backseat game just a tip.

At 23:30 and for the next couple of inf moves you really should have your units on "hunt" or "attack" and not just walking them with right click because if they encounter something in the forest as they move they are going to keep walking rather than stopping to shoot and get melted. Very important for forest play!

And I think ur trying to get camera action but never let your requisition go that high (1k @28:00!) Or you'll get overwhelmed by someone deploying everything on time

I really want to play SD2 but I hate the fact that the second any of my art or mortars fire the AI instantly kills my arty and all my infantry so after the first 5 mins I have nothing left, thats why I stick to 44

Don't use artillery leader to buff your artillery. They don't buff artillery any more then any normal leader unit. They are for using their radios close to the front where their large size keeps them alive. If you want to buff arty just use a cheap leader, arty leader is too expensive to just leave behind the line.

that’s not what operation unthinkable was. operation unthinkable was after the war, a preemptive strike against an aggressive ussr. it was named unthinkable because of the predicted casualties. it was also predicted that if the ussr held against the attack it would eventually take all of europe and the UK.
