you can actually build an enclosure out of a dresser! you can get a dresser from a used furniture store super cheap. i found a tutorial on pinterest and i will be getting my beardie super soon!:)

One and how you are maintaining the humidity. I have just set up my tank and for last 3 days. I have been struggling with the humidity. I have moved the water bowl in different locations. I am going up on the water job. My Baskin light because I can not get that spot hot either. Any recommendations would be helpful.

@user-lc6qs2qi3t I don't have these anymore because they got damaged when I moved. Water dishes are not needed. That will raise the humidity a lot. I used a 100-watt spotlight halogen bulb. They are hard to find now, unfortunately. There are also dehumidifiers that are small enough to put in the enclosures (non electric) or use an electric dehumidifier in the room. I would try taking the water dishes out first and doing the 100-watt bulb, while raising the basking platform as needed to get to temp. Hope this helps.

If i am not mistaken, you would need 8 tiles to fill the whole bottom because the enclosure is 4 by 2 and most tiles are 1 square foot so you would need two rows of four.

You really should have a longer UVB and over lap the heat lamp and UVB. The way its setup now the BD has to pick between heat or sunlight, should I be warm and develop MBD or should I die of cold but still have healthy bones doing so.

I noticed that you have your Baskin light on the outside of the tank. What size bulb are you using? I am having a little bit of problem getting his Baskin area hot or not. I did order the Baskin cave from Zen. It is gorgeous has a perfect slate that you can remove for easy Clean I have a 100 there. I have purchased a one fifty heat light I have a 30 inch sunlight and I also use a sunlight in the dome with my Baskin light so my heat light. I just did as a heat light at a 150.

@@DinosaurDrummer i really dont know about tortoises much but i will say that female bearded dragons are much more calmer than male bearded dragons. Females during the summer can sometimes lay infertile eggs and if they dont get them out they may pass. On the other hand males during the summer get super aggressive because its mating season so your at risk of biting. Its just personal preference. And with where to get them at i do know if you get them from a pet store they cost a little bit less then if you get them from like a actual bearded dragon store but then again its about personal preference

@@shaejordin5656 well on undergroundreptiles.com they sell bearded dragons for 59.99 and 79.99 and for sulcata tortoises it’s 99.99 and Russian tortoises are 79.99 and they also sell supplies and slider turtles for 10$ but I’m not sure about turtles cause I want a animal that is easy to travel with cause I don’t have space for a huge tank like over 100 gallons is too big so I was thinking of trying to litter train my tortoise or bearded dragons I can free roam them and see them more happy because I have a small room it’s 8 feet by 8 feet but my animals in cage/only have space for a tank 100 gallons or smaller or 3 feet by 3 feet but most of them are free roam.except for my betta fish.

I like the pvc enclosure way more and I think they are Slightly cheaper. The layout and look of these pvc cages are Almost identical to the zen habitats. Im just thinking of beardie poop that does touch the wood after a few years its gotta start affecting the wood. Pvc that can't happen, thats why I think its better, pvc gonna hold up and last longer for sure.

It looks so good! I absolutely love zen habitats! I want to upgrade my new rescue bearded dragon to one of these. He definitely deserves it. I got him a few months ago, he is six years old and was kept in a 20 gallon long with the same lights his whole life! When I got him I immediately upgraded to a 40 gallon bioactive setup, but i think he would really benefit w bigger tank. He is pretty stuned since he was in the tiny tank for six years and is missing a part of his tail and also has a kink in his tail. He looks to be a tiny bit bigger than bowser ( who had grow so fast! ). Even though he tends to sit in the same spots all day, I would love to give him the extra space!
