Adam, since you had good success in targeting Halibut and Ling Cod one might get the impression that those fish are easy to catch, when actually it can be quite the opposite. You have put an awful lot of hours in on the water to make your success. 😊 Hope you Panama trip is great. It might help to watch watch Elias fishing did on his trip down there.

I love getting bit on a bait most people would consider an awesome catch… Ilan and I caught some monster Calicos on Yellowtail size mackerel baits, and a sea lion 😂 I’ve been in love with the knocker rig for live bait… similar to the Carolina but no swivel, weight (lighter the Carolina) bouncing off the top hook

@@DieHardFishing Adam I just rent my rod and reels. I buy my lures there at the store. It’s the only time I get to fish the ocean. Just listen to the guides. Dakota is excellent. You will find the hardest thing to do is wait when getting a run. Usually 10 to 15 seconds before reeling down on the conventional setup. I still have not got a Cubera yet. You will have an awesome time. The food is second to none and all the beer one can drink. Tight lines, can’t wait to see your videos from the trip

I cannot see in the video but where exactly does the trap/treble hook go, in the belly, is it better under or on top? I finally caught two halibuts(about 14-17 inches each, no legal size yet) last weekend off the pier. One of live bait(smelt) and one on Berkeley's pink and white 5 inch gulp bait grub! Finally after 2-3 years off and on(i fish once every month or two 😢) thanks to u and all the youtubers for showing how its done!
