The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is amazing! I loved it so so much. Basically its about life as a first or second generation immigrant from Dominican Republic (I can't remember) that's now living in New Jersey, so it deals a lot with cultural representation and the sense of not belonging completely to neither the american culture nor the latin one in Dominican Republic. It's such a smart book.

Oscar Wao is simultaneously a classic coming of age story and a wildly refreshing read, definitely raw and emotionally intense but absolutely brilliant- Junot Diaz is one of my favorite authors of all time and if you enjoy Oscar Wao I'd definitely recommend picking up his other two short story collections!

And with the money I got I bought throne of Glass colouring book, red queen and Glass sword with the colouring book, cinder, scalet and cress, stalking Jack the Ripper, black moon, the new Cassandra Clare book, the hammer of Thor and that's it :)

The Book Thief. Best. Book. Ever. I was in science when I finished it, and I started crying a lot, then I told my friend and we cried together. Our crying was interrupted when my science teacher told me I was disrupting the class and sent me across the hall to the library.

I recently read A darker shade of magic which I LOVED. Also re read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with Christmas. Currently I'm reading Half Lost by Sally Green which I'm not very fond of unfortunately. But I'm loaning it from the library so that's okay. And recently I bought Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, Empire of Storms, Nevernight by Jay Kristoff and the script of Fantastic Beasts and where to find them. Can't wait to read them!

I haven't read My Lady Jane but considering Lady Jane Grey was put on the throne BY Edward VI, not to rob him of the throne as the blurb suggests, I would definitely take it with a pinch of salt (also look up the actual story because it's super interesting)

Oscar Wao is honestly hard to explain but essentially it follows Oscar and his family through life in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to New Jersey and back again. It's funny and so, so heartbreaking. It'll give you feels. I loved this book so much I read This is How You Lose Her (where I fell even more in love) and I'm currently reading Drown.

The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is about the American experience coming from a Dominican family. It follows Oscar and other members in his family, and their experiences. I've only read half so far, but it's pretty good!

you should read The Emerged World Chronicles by Licia Troisi because it is just BOMB. It is a wonderful high fantasy book written by an Italian author and the story is so catching and you must read it.

Man, I really wanna get the english hardcover edition of the Tearling series, but it's so expensive. I've read the first book in German and loved it and now I wanna reread the first one on English, because it's been a few years, and continue the series. Maybe I'll get around to it sometime next year
