Becky, just recently found your channel and I love it. I’m 70 yes old and I love to see the younger generation keep doing food preservation. Here’s a tip from my years of experience for you cast iron when you have stuck on mess. Just put water in the pan put it back on the stove and bring back up to a boil, it makes everything just come up from the bottom very easy.

Please promise to never change the way u are, trust me, we love u exactly as u are, no pretences, no attitude of being better than others, just very humble and grateful for all u have!! I can't wait to see u and Josh become parents, it's the best and toughest experience u'll go through in life and every second is so worth it!! Remember to be gentle with urself, if u just don't have it in u to put out new videos every other day, we will understand!! If some followers complain about it, my motto is, "keep scrolling and don't let the door hit u in the butt"!! I really am a nice person, but at my age, (60), I have less time or patience for snarky people. It just isn't necessary, wisdom and older age has helped me to that realization!! Kindness costs nothing and actually lifts, not only ur spirit, but others as well!! Thank u for sharing ur beautiful life with us, it makes this granny so happy to see u!! Happy Holidays to u and urs from me and mine in Alaska!!💖💖👩🦳💖💖

If you add chopped jalapeno to the cream cheese filling, you stuff the chicken then actually wrap the entire breast in raw bacon. These are awesome to wrap each one (before cooking) in seran wrap and baggy and you can freeze them as a freezer meal. To cook you just sear each side on the stove then bake them in the oven. It even creates its own sauce. It's officially called Jalapeno popper chicken and is AMAZING. Laura in the kitchen has a more detailed video on it. It's to die for. No joke. :))

For your “shaky cheese”, if you have a lid from the commercial shelf-stable park, it fits a regular mouth mason jar. They’re really handy for anything you want to shake or spoon something out of mason jars. Incidentally, many peanut butter lids also fit regular mouth mason jars. A one-piece lid is much more convenient than a two-part lid if you’re not canning the item.

I wish I was there to show you an easy way to clean your cast iron skillet. I saw this on KZbin but I have forgotten the channel. Here goes: scrape as much off the pan as you can, sit your pan in the sink, pour boiling water over it (no soap in iron skillets). Let it sit there a minute and use a plastic or wooden scrapper on the bottom and sides. I put my William Sonoma rubber gloves on for that part because the water was boiling. Rinse, dry and put a tiny bit of olive oil on a paper towel and rub the oil all over the inside of the skillet. Turn the paper towel over and dry it as if you’re rubbing off the oil. Your skillet will look so nice. Your skillets look nice any way Becky. Tell us how you clean yours. FYI. A few times I’ve used a plastic pancake turner that has a straight edge but mostly I use a scraper. I love your channel. Josh is a lucky husband to have you cooking for him.

Hi Becky. Always love your videos! Just a tip that when stuffing chicken breast it’s easier to cut a pocket from the fatter side than the thin. I usually use a toothpick to tuck and close the pocket so I don’t lose so much filling when I cook them and it melts. Then pull out the toothpick after cooking. I learn so much from you so I thought maybe that would be helpful to you. Thank you for all your content. Have a great week!

Like your target decor items. Love the runner and chargers adding textures and neutral colors. Tip: when decorating a table take into count the size of the table and room. If you have a larger dinning table like you, you need a few larger items, height is good being you're in a large room too. This is so the table and room doesnt over power small decor items. You can gather in a group across the center of table w/pumpkins, squash and fall leaves or greenery w/ tall large candles are always visually pleasing. The cinnamon pinecones smell might be over powering for dinner. If so, they're great in a basket near the door when your quests arrive. Decor is where my education and experience is. However, the kitchen is where I learn tips every video you share! Thx for doing what you do. Blessing to you, Josh n baby. Happy Friendgiving!!

I didn't read all 990 comments to see someone else already made this suggestion. So, sorry if it's a repeat idea. Here goes: Rather than butterfly your chicken breast, try only cutting a small opening and creating a large pocket instead. In that way, you can stuff your filling into the pocket and you won't lose so much of it into the pan during the cook/baking process. Happy cooking!

Also, you can layer/stagger them going down the middle and make your own runner with them for a different look! Also, keep the jacket! It looks so good and you won’t be pregnant forever. You’ll need a coat for right after. Honestly, in the winter at the height of my pregnancy I was so warm I never zipped my jacket anyways haha. It was such a good price I would def keep it and it would get its use now, as long as possible but then for sure after pregnancy and there’s always next winter. It’s such a classic style and color it’ll look good for many years to come. It’s a style they make year after year.

I just started reading ‘Animal, Vegetable, Miracle’ by Barbara Kingsolver and she talks about “oily food” in reference to how much petroleum products go into delivering food to our tables. Great book so far, thanks for the recommendation.

If you hold your hand flat as you did cutting into the chicken breast, you can put a hand full of cherry tomatoes and using the chef's knife, cut them in half. At my job I had so much prep work to produce the salads we served in the deli and with a bit of nerve and a steady hand it becomes a simple process. Maybe try instead of butterflying the breast, you can create a pocket with a smaller hole to either pipe the filling in or shove it into the cavity and use your finger to distribute it to the back as you fill it. Facebook has vanilla bean groups you cab join and get very good prices on bulk beans, fair trade from the sources. I love your videos.💕 I hope this helps you Becky.

Cloth napkins in neutral colors are a great way to decorate the table for different occasions because you can fold them into different shapes. Like I folded ours into a fan on thanksgiving (added a little turkey body that I printed on cardstock and cut out) and a Christmas tree and Santa's hat (added a Santa face as a napkin ring that I also printed) for Christmas.

Becky an easy way to clean your cast iron is add a couple drops of dawn and an inch or two of water in the pan, turn the burner on and bring it to a boil. Let it sit til it cools. Works great every time and doesnt ruin the seasoning on the pan. I learned this while camping

love seeing your video's, your joy brings everyone also joy. I like those glass tubes the vanilla beans came in, you could re use them to make a cool table center piece buy seeing if Josh can make a small long stand like a mini bench and cut out holes that the tubes can sit inside, then you can put small cut flowers in them for a mini vase feature for your dinner parties
@judithburke15392 жыл бұрын
Or fill them with different colored beads or gold and silver beads. Save the plugs that come with the tubes to seal the beads inside the tubes!

I love your videos. I put them on all day why doing different tasks. Many inspired by watching you! I’ve spent so much money since watching you. I redid all my pots and pans, stocked up on casserole dishes, utensils, nice kitchen knives, kitchen aid mixer etc The list goes on. I’m very impressionable. 😂 Every time I see your hauls I want to go shopping. I’ve also saved a lot by freezing produce etc so it doesn’t get wasted, making 2 smaller casseroles instead of 1 that goes bad, my time by having freezer meals to do other things etc. I’m having a hip replacement in August. I put it out that far so I could stock up on freezer meals hopefully. I also work as a business logistics director for a summer camp during summer. Hoping I’ll have time for cooking to fill my freezer before surgery. You have a true keeper in Josh. He is so supportive and also handy in most things. My husband is the same. He’s blessed to have you as well. God bless you both.

PS I have always had to pull my peeler toward me. It gives is much easier hold on it. I drop things a lot and they get slippery. I’m a hot mess. It’s so much more efficient to me. I’m envious how well you do. Prior to switching I just used a regular knife. You should try it sometime. My sons love that better too but they are clumsy like me. 😂 You don’t need it I’m sure. You have no problem. I’m envious.

That was so fun. Your table scape is going to be very nice. I'm inspired to try making stuffed chicken breast now too. My tip for ease in cleaning cast iron, which I use 90%, is to remove hot food to a Pyrex dish and deglaze the cast iron pan while it's still hot. Sometimes, I use the deglaze liquid, but sometimes I just dump it. Hope that helps 😊

I watched your shopping at Costco and I was so excited. Today I went to Costco and thought of you…hmmm saying what would Becky get. I didn’t have a coat and I got the same as you except in rose color. Thanks you for showing the Pyrex snap bowls. I got some of those as well because you showed them. I haven’t had storage bowls in many years. So happy to part with those old old plastic bowls. Thanks Becky..

Fun to go along with you on your adventures! You really are frugal..I'm sure I would've given in to more temptations with regard to holiday decor, but you're right.. neutral basic foundation and you can always jazz it up to match the event. I have to say again, I am so happy for you to have such an appreciative and loyal subscriber base..you deserve it.

You could pop cream cheese in the freezer too if you are not sure about using it up before it expires :) I've noticed that It holds well and for much longer. I've heard Sarah from @ourtribeofmany mentioning this too.
@truegapeach69682 жыл бұрын
I am new to your account but agree with Maryam. You could make a thick smear or balls of the dip and flash freeze on parchment. Once frozen wrap in Saran and bag it in a freezer bag. Then stuff the chicken breasts and continue with the recipe. Maybe use a casserole dish next time 😉 Easier to clean.

Becky an easy way to clean the cast iron is to boil a little water in it and scrape the bottom with your wooden spoon, lifts all the stick bits off then you just wipe it dry with a towel and put a little oil on a paper towel and wipe the pan put in the oven easy peasy
