Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share this desk make over with you! This is my makeshift office... joy... It is in need of some massive cleaning / decluttering!! I got my desk from ikea, and I bought a few things from Target, home goods, tj maxx, and other place for this simple makeover! Just a few things really made the difference! Hope you enjoyed my desk transformation and cleaning with me the konkimmy (ie konmarie inspired) way!

Kim. You should get some shelf liner. You know, that sticky paper; so you can line your desk with it. It wouldn’t take you more than a 1/2 hour to do. Plus, if you buy it at the 1.00 Store, it’s so cheap.

I did that with a big board I put over a metal stand and turned it into a printer stand, I also took 2 wooden shelving units we made and I used to use to house bird cages on when i raised birds, but got out of the birds and wanted to keep the shelves for my pantry so i cleaned them up used the dollar tree shelf liners and now they hold my kitchen appliances in my pantry and look amazing :D and I have one i my office to use for storage.

Little tip about your defuser! If you don’t want to plug it into your computer you can plug it into a USB plug, like the type that comes with your phone!

Love the new clean desk!! An ideea for all the moms that have talented kids: you should take pictures of all the art work that they do and create digital albums. That way you can get rid off all the papers and still have the memories.

Impressive! I still have a ways to go... My desk is a door that never had the doorknob hole cut into it. It is about 6.5' x 2.5' and was piled about 6" to 8" high on all surfaces around my keyboard, monitor, printer, and stacking trays. It was fun to watch you as I declutter, sort, shred, and toss. I should have taken a before photo as you showed your "before." Way to stick with it!

It's Cindy from Canada. OMG I watched to the end because you made me laugh so hard!! I'm a server and haven't worked since Nov of last year, yet the hardest, while trying to declutter my wee apartment. I watch as much content related since covid19 began for us last March (2020) I get so overwhelmed with the 'new' news and updates, now I have media fog and nightmares. So my quarantine therapy is this 'hot mess' apartment. Donations have to wait as well, as we stay at home and await more info. I am grateful for the big picture and really love the little things. They help huge in my quarantine, unvaccinated, life. I miss people huge and hard and cried so many times of friends and families with such loss. I'm so so sorry. Thank you enough for today! I pray all your youtubers are kind, as I do for your family and friends. Stay safe, be strong, remain kind. Remember love wins. 134 :3

I think the gold rack is upside down.... Flip it and it might work the way you wanted it to...maybe?

So it was upside down, but when flipped right side up it only allows for two slots to hold folders, it's a bummer. haha so I flipped it back over! :) . There are bars across the tops and bottoms that doesn't allow for individual filing like I hoped :) missed opportunity!

I was rewatching your desk vid for like the 3rd time and I like your diffuser. Try using one of your phone plugs that the cord detatches. It should use a USB cord so it might work. It took me watching this 3x for me to think of that I haven't read all of the comments to see if you have already figured this out so sorry if I'm behind. Anyway, love your videos! Here’s a tip for kids art work ( but only if u want it 😉) ...take a pic of it and to go even further print it ( place several in 1 photo so they will be small) then cut them out...should be 3”x3” then laminate them and put a magnet on the back of them...place them on fridge and great gift for family members 😜

I do the inside of my desk like once a year and it is amazing what accumulates. I also have a camera graveyard, mine includes a dslr that my husband is still salty about not being used.
