I laughed when you said about cleaning less with disinfectant/bleach and bit of germs didn't hurt anyone. My thought was, amen!!! My husband's cousin nearly died when he was a toddler as his mum cleaned obsessively that he had no immune system to fight off germs. So when he developed an illness he ended up in hospital on life support. The doctors told her to stop cleaning so much and let dirt and germs help to build his immune system back up. I cut right back cleaning myself obsessively when I heard that. Some people are too clean. When I was young it was a "5 second rule" joke about food falling on the floor. Now its "no, dont eat that! It's been on the floor"!!. Xx

after decluttering and organizing my entryway closet, i told myself it’s not gonna be a catch all closet anymore. well… it’s already beginning. i just have to try not to let it get bad. i don’t like packages in my front hall, so i shove them in the closet because often i don’t feel like opening them at the time. i like to open them, play with them and enjoy the items i purchased , taking off tags or stickers or whatever. phew, that was a long ass explanation!

My desk looks like your office all the time! It is in our bedroom and has become the catch all. Starting work every morning I have to move all the random things. Need to get it organized! I also get spooked so I have my desk up against the wall that the door is on. So the door is next to me and I can see anyone that comes in the room! PS thanks for showing us the start of the office organization! So much motivation and fun to see the transformation!

Nice to see you cleaning, no need to see the kids working, they clearly have their own responsibilities. As always, you hit so many areas which just keeps me motivated. I am always sidetracked, i.e. "Oh, if I declutter my tablecloths, I'll have a space to put the seasonal linens away. But first, I have to wash all of the Christmas things to put them away clean." And now I have been upstairs, downstairs, in the laundry room, and into the Christmas bins to retrieve my regular dish towels and placemats. Joanna, I found your channel a few weeks ago, and have been binge watching all of your videos ever since. So from one Dr. Pepper drinker to another (although I drink Diet Dr. Pepper now) I thought I would introduce myself. I use to love cleaning my house but now avoid it for as long as possible. That was an amazing transformation for the office! When I start with an area like that I always tell my husband the first step is always “organized chaos” and putting all those bins and areas is what I do! Can’t wait to see what you do with it! I don’t think you need to justify how you do things in your own house. It’s very obvious that your kids are happy and well adjusted. It’s up to you and your husband on how to raise your kids. Plus, we only see moments in your life and no one knows what goes on when you are not filming so no one has the right to criticize you or your family. Happy New Year! I love to watch your videos, you’ve given me ideas and motivation to organize. Thank you! I also wanted to offer a suggestion for all your cords. When you get a new item with a charging cord or battery charger, label it right away with your Cricut. Just wrap it around the cord (sort of like a hand held flag looks on the stick) or attach the label directly to the charger. It seems like the cords all look the same, until you you try and find the right one! Anyway I hope you find this suggestion even a little helpful. Thanks for sharing!

I feel ya on having content. My husband works from home and keeps things clean, so I tell him not to do anything sometimes. That way I have things to film but also so I can make sure everything gets done the way I like.

Get the SpeedQueen washer and dryer. Super inexpensive compared to others and considered industrial for residential. They make all the washers and dryers for hotels/laundry mats and are the best quality. I found about about them becuase I was researching washers and dryers best for cloth diapering. Amazing machinery!!!!
