I would love if Etsy just had a separate site for selling digital items. Like Etsy Digital. It would also be nice if mock-ups weren’t allowed. You can order a sample of the product so order one and take your own pictures. therefore for you can see what your customer is actually getting as well as them. Heck I can just make my own item through Printify and cut that seller out. Why pay more? People need to invest in their businesses. They also need to understand that all these “Etsy gurus” are just selling some BS course. If you found a way to make a bunch of money with something why on earth would you create competition. Etsy has destroyed itself. Hopefully people aren’t wasting their time trying to figure out how to sell more on Etsy and spend that time setting up shop elsewhere. Etsy is where I get my first time customer. My online store is where I get their repeat business.

It would be so much more helpful if you do shortened version of all the points that are important and summarize them so we can digest them easier or rewatch them later. It's ok if you want to do those lives which are over an hour, no problem - but please also share summarizes of all the important points. I am not able to digest this all and know what was the outtake afterwards. And I guess this can be reduced to a good summary of around 15mins... Just an idea.

Etsy legal team saying they can’t tell you what your violation was because people will work around it is like if they put people in jail but didn’t tell them why because criminals might get sneakier. lol. Not sure that argument would hold up if the day ever comes that sellers band together for a class action suit. This day will come, not just for Etsy but for e-commerce platforms as a whole…right now we are in the early stages of a revolution similar to the Industrial Revolution where there were no insurances of rights for the workers, the factory owners could do what they wanted. It will all change eventually and these platforms will have to be more transparent and there will be more laws protecting sellers rights, but this could be decades away maybe….but it does feel like it is coming to a head, sellers feeling like they are pushed to their limits.

@webtech4161 I think it's around the 44 min mark. They briefly touch on saying that instead of only doing T-Shirts and mugs, you should also do mouse pads, aprons, cutting boards, flags, pillow cases, keychains and so on. So, you take the design and put it on as many different products as you can instead of only doing shirts and mugs. This was all I could find after listening to the video twice while working and therefore not paying attention 100%. I really wish they had timestamps. There's great info and advice, but they do go into a lot of detail so it's a lot to listen to on the topics/parts you aren't really interested in.

Bots or Botched? I took advantage of the Share & Save initiative and closed my blog shop to drive that same traffic to my Etsy store. The spike in my Etsy sales caused Etsy to freeze my funds for 3 months. I reached out, asked someone to review - to take 1 minute and look at my orders to see the green 'Share & Save' badges on 85% of them. I was using their initiative! Customer Service was polite enough but obviously unequipped to provide proper support. Answers were cut and paste, and sadly, it were worded as though the hold on funds was for the benefit of me and my store. Etsy was 'looking out for me', making sure I could cope with fulfillment and had adequate funds within Etsy for refunds if required. However, another 1 minute minute review would show them the majority of the the sales were digital... no fulfillment or refunds required. It doesn't make sense to encourage store owners to drive traffic to Etsy and then punish them when it works. I thought it was botched business logic... But maybe it was Bot business logic!😂😂😂😂 I just had to wait it out. It's all good now.

We sell automated personalized products and need the buyer to fill in a personalized information form that is tied to their order. The Etsy personalization box on the product page is insufficient to capture the information that we require. Etsy sends us an email when a sale is made that contains the buyer email and the statement "If you have any questions about this order, please contact the buyer directly ... Send them an email". Can we email the buyer a link to the input form or is this against Etsy's policy despite the statement in the email that they send us? Thanks

There's only one price to set, your regular price. If you're running discounts you should be setting them up as discounts/promotions inside of your etsy backend

Repeat on replay rather than live, I have not got anything out of AI that I found useful yet. You asked what brought me to Etsy. I create machine embroidery designs and I thought it would be a great way to share my designs with other embroiderers.

I love being able to use AI art. I like that it won't create the exact same thing twice, so every design I make is unique. and I own it. I don't think it's that easy to use. It often takes me several attempts to get what I am looking for. Once I get the design I want, I then still have to decide how to lay it out and whether or not I want to add custom text. What fonts and colors to use on both the AI Art I generated and whatever text or other elements I add. I spend just as much time using AI art as I did using other design elements and tools. What I like about it so much is that what I come up with is not something someone can look at and then replicate using elememts available in canva or design bundle or wherever. I love AI art.....except when it comes to trying to make humans or animals. That is super hard. They often have creepy faces or extra fingers or legs or arms. I don't try to create realistic looking humans or animals. I go for artistic effects when I want people or animals.
