The community Standards on map making is crazy. When map makers create maps, they make it FOR the community. but amazingly talented map makers set most peoples standards that a map needs to be immaculate. It causes new map makers to not even have a chance, and good maps to get hate on for the most stupidest reason ever. The communities gotten out of hand. It's insane

The thing is that they don't understand Smokey is a 15 year old, he had school as well. 9 months with help from others all for it to be "thrown in the trash". It's really upsetting to open the DDv2 forum and see the dumbest comments like "mid" or "trash map do better". On the other hand, there's the good side explaining with suggestions and not downright hating the map. No matter how much you try to do your best on your map, the community wants it to be "absolutely perfect" to love the map. I don't blame Smokey for locking the forum and Crazyblox leaving the server, it was all on the hate the community keeps giving.

The fe2 community had become so toxic to the point where it most likely isn’t even saveable anymore this community gets so much free maps that are made willingly by people just to get shit talked because their map “sucks” when people don’t know how much effort is put into a map and getting all of this content for free this community is so ungrateful I wish it was better for crazyblox he deserves better than this.

Also sometimes people forget that creators doesnt make map for yall, they make it for fun. Lets say the whole map is free model but if the creator get fun while making it that means they got the point of making maps.

I haven't seen much toxicity on my end of the server but normally I see it ingame. There's always that one person who has to share their opinion and have no back up for it. When I share my opinion I keep in mind that this map probably took months and months to complete, but others don't care and are just like "Dr sucks it's too hard" or "pc sucks it's too easy." Being a map maker myself it is hard to get maps done in fact most maps I start I never finish. Even if you have these opinions just try to make a map yourself and see what map makers go through or don't use harsh words and show that you still respect the map or don't even share it.

So this all started from DD V2?? Dude V2 looks really good, I am no map maker so I don’t have the position to bash the creator for things I have no idea how they work. People are incredibly stupid if they think that bad mouthing something will make it better. It won’t. That’s not criticism, that’s just being an asshole. I feel bad for Crazy, he may not be a perfect developer since most updates aren’t my favorite, but I know that he puts a lot of effort to keep the game going, even if it hasn’t grown in years. Him and the other map creators need to be left alone, even if you don’t like them. I regret the times I said “thanks crazy” or “I blame crazy” for stupid things like chaotic buttons killing the server. I never understood how harsh that was. I take those back, I’m sorry Crazy.
