I am loving what you are doing with the house. It is so stunning an it’s wonderful you found your own style and are trusting it. I firmly believe that your home is a reflection of who you are! Ken cannot disappear from your vlogs when everything is done, we need at least one appearance a month, please!!!!! Good bye wall, it wasn’t you at all and the doors stained dark is wonderful. The handles you got for them is going to look so good. I have a random question, have you ever thought to use your upstairs bathroom as your tanning room? I remember you said it got no use. You could put a bench and all your self tanning stuff in there so it isn’t taking up space elsewhere.

I love your white kitchen. I'm changing our kitchen from yellow and white to all white and my husband, SIL and Bil think it's too much white. Just wait until they see how much bigger it is going to look, plus with my husband's blue pots and pans he proudly displays, I'm thinking he will love how it makes them stand out. I love your unboxing, unpacking decorating VLOGS, it makes me decorate vicariously after my house already is decorated. Keep them coming!!

be careful, painted dryer may cause some stains on the clothes when it ages, no matter how well it is painted. Might ruin some fabrics.. (or simply wooden itself). Best way is chrome metal, the one that you have right now.

I bought an Aldi Linen and Lace candle in a jar. I burnt it for the first time yesterday and was blown away by it. It was really cheap but smelt fantastic. I wonder if there are some good scents and bad ones, or good and bad batches.

Hi Lydia, seen your note about the Aldi candles and I’m sorry but I totally disagree! I normally buy Diptyque, Cire Trudon and Jo Malone but recently have just been using the Aldi ones. They are so full of scent and travel around the house. The only one that I don’t think is good is the Oris and Sandlewood- perhaps you bought that one? Please don’t put other people off them as they’re great!

I love the doors! Even with only one hand of lacquer they look really nice. I actually liked the tile wall as well, I think it went well with the earthy vibe of the house (e.g. the wooden doors, the rustic furnishings, etc.) And the Walnut shelf is great! Helpful hint, as this happened to me. Candles on the window sill always melt on any sunny day, even when its fairly cool outside. Just keep an eye on your candles, lovely, especially if they are more luxury candles. Puddles in hurricane jars are awful x

That stain on your doors makes the wood look so much more real. Before the stain, on camera anyway, they kind of looked like laminate, even though I know they were real wood. Love the look! Yay for Cal coming and more content!!

"Should" and "always" can be quite troublesome words in the world of interior design. However, when I was studying interior design at university, the design principles that were taught were that same items/similarly sized items can work well in even numbers for symmetrically balancing a space. However, various sized items work well in odd numbers in a cluster/vignette. You also have to factor in scale, proportion, harmony, emphasis, rhythm, pattern, etc. But when it comes down to it, it is whatever the individual prefers because design principles are great guidelines but not hard fast rules.

You can grind the coffee with the thermomix. I grind sugar and nuts and stuff in it. Thne sugar gets much powdery than the store bought one
