Kevin Durant of the NBA Brooklyn Nets showed a glimpse of his recent rehab after his achilles tendon rupture surgery and this is the biggest progress we've seen yet from the NBA superstar. Could Durant still return this season based on the progress we've seen so far?

regular people dont spend all day every week rehabbing. AP came back from an acl+mcl tear in just a couple months which is unheard of. Now physiology is limited but you can tow the boundary of rehab the more you can rehab/stick to an elite program.

I appreciate your perspective on explaining injury mechanisms/risks/medical intervention in many of your videos. However, I am disappointed that you did not bring in a member of the inter-professional team for this video, specifically a physical therapist or athletic trainer. Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers are the ones working with these individuals and assessing and reassessing responses to treatments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. We are constantly adjusting our plan of care to best address their impairments for return to sport. Not just return to sport, but return to performance. Bringing in a rehab specialist's perspective could have provided a better look into what Durant has been working on and towards during his training sessions beyond range of motion, strength, and muscle bulk. Disclaimer, I am a PT and often feel that our profession is overlooked.

hey I love the channel. some basic lighting tips to fix your setup: move the light sources (looks like you have two on either side of the camera) up a bit so it's not hitting you directly at camera height. this will give you some shadow under your chin instead of it completely flattening you out as it is now. on-axis light, which is what you've got, works ok for a makeup channel but makes anybody look weird and chinless.

@normanvaliao

It is true that you can recover from an Achilles injury. BUT, physically you won't be the same anymore especially if your Achilles injury is a tendon tear. Once teared and you were able to recover for a year, you could no longer strain it like you used to because it now becomes tender and soft and another tear can be imminent. Meaning, KD can no longer dunk and leap high as many as he wants. KD could no longer cross over as many as he wants. And he will have to sacrifice minutes of playing in order to rest that tender Tendon in his Achilles. The safest position he can attack is through his shooting. Limit the dunking and the cross over moves. And another thing, don't chase a player from the court of origin up to the end of the court in order to reach him and block his shots (like what LeBron is doing) cause that also puts too much strain in the Achilles.

From a risk reward perspective it makes no sense for KD to come back. In his condition he won't be able to close the gap between Brooklyn and Indiana. Kyrie is out for an indefinite amount of time. His statistics will be all messed up as well. He should wait till summer, play for team USA and then come back 100% on basketball shape and dominate the NBA.
