Jacob not only allowing/ liking the Christmas tree to be up but actually helping set it up is so cool. I am happy for you guys.

I'm happy to see that your Christmas was so positive and accepting! ❤ Dangerous/damaging stims are often a sign of increased dysregulation. I know it can seem to "just come and go, no clear cause", however, it's worth looking extra carefully for potential triggers. Wishing you all well!

Awesome video. I can only imagine how magical it was for your family to see Jacob helping put up the tree. Disability Worker here, I admire parents so so much, loved the Sensory Friendly Santa visit. Love that you make these videos and share Jacob's triumphs as well as the realistic everyday struggles.♥♥♥

My son used to chew on his lips. Even when its bleeding he will keep chewing on it. So I really feel you with the dangerous stims. I got him a chewing neckles where he can bite on if he needs to and that really helped.

My son skin picks and head bangs, so I totally get it! I'm so happy you had success with the tree! We had a little tree this past Christmas that went over well, so we're going to try a bigger one this coming Christmas. Very exciting to get to do things I thought we might never get to try!

From Pakistan my son 6yo just diagnosed with ASD mild to moderate, and his stimmings from the last one yr was nail biting so severe that his nails got injured now that's gone alhmdulillah but he then started knocking so much so that his knuckles got inflamed but it's really really hard to distract such kids from their fixations ...

So pleased for you that he helped with the Christmas tree 😊. I’m sorry and of course I’m only watching the video but seeing Jacob holding, and nearly falling on, that huge pair of scissors really scared me.

My son does the same thing with his chin and gets a rash. Also constantly biting finger nails and toe nails.
