Hi mate! The "special" screw you had to order is the short one to mount the levers without the OEM handguards, right? I understand that those 2 screws come in the box that they give you at the dealership when they sell you the bike precisely for that reason, in case you want to mount other handguards. I'm in doubt because just when you're telling it in the video you show a piece, "B52PR plunger rod" that in theory should come with the lever, right? In fact, in the description of the video you leave a reference, which on the Rottweiller website leads to the short screw, which I'm referring to, but in the video you show the pin that presses the clutch pump. I'm going to order both levers and I'm quite confused after watching your video because I'm from Europe and I can't order them from the Rottweiller website... Another thing I wanted to ask you. Do both levers press the brake switch and the clutch switch without any problem? You know, so that the brake light comes on when you press the brake and so that the bike detects that the clutch is engaged and lets you start with a gear engaged. Also, otherwise the quickshifter would be constantly activated despite having the clutch lever pressed. I hope you can read me and help me even though the video is already a bit old. Thanks mate!

Hey man! Let me try and clear some stuff up because I don't think I did a good job editing. When I ordered the levers from Rottweiler in the USA, I needed to order the "Lever Pivot Bolt" for the clutch side, nothing for the brake (that I can remember) but the kit came with a new plunger. Here in the US (may just be my situation) but we never got/get those bolts for "different" hand guards from KTM.. They honestly didn't give me sh!t hahaha like I literally just got a bike and some paperwork.. again could just be me but still I don't have that luxury ASV should have the same sort of kit available on their website and maybe even international shipping through them?? I would think.. When it comes to the tail light and the clutch, you will use the same switches as factory. Honesty it's just plug and play but remember how you took it apart and put them back together the same way. I hope this helps, I know I'm a little vague and the video is old now but I hope I can help!

Just installed that brake pedal to my 690. Be careful not to unscrew the adjuster/set screw to far. I wanted a little less play and I ended up tightening it too much and torched the caliper... red hot hahah. Ride safe!

Holy smokes! LIterally haha thanks for the advice on that one! Safe riding!

Great vid, i left my 690 pretty much stock, the ktm engineers made a great bike just stock.

Honestly, I couldn't agree more.. I sometimes look at what I have done and question "why did I do so much? Is it all actually worth it?" some is but most is just "because it looks cool" 🤣

I really like how those levers look!! I was just looking at the foot brake assembly when i changed pads the other day. Do u know if u can move the location of that lever down lower? Once i seen u had to disassemble that whole foot peg i got lazy and didn't attempt
@LifeWellRidden Жыл бұрын
Thank you! They are pretty nice! For the foot brake, I don’t think you can lower it, about the only thing you could really do is lengthen the stop bolt by unscrewing it or replacing with a longer one

@@LifeWellRidden ok thanks bro. I don't really like how high it sits but looks like sumthn I gotta just deal with lol

@@22smcrrider96 I don’t remember any good “drop brackets” or holes/areas on the assembly itself.. then again I have to tear it apart again 🤣 but that screw should be the best option. It looks like you could take a hex wrench and turn it out since it’s threaded.. not really sure haha

what asv lever wass that for the clutch side exactly?, is it great for wheelies?, thanks.......
@LifeWellRidden Жыл бұрын
It’s the ASV forged clutch lever in Black and the shorty version WITH the “non-handguard hardware (50302038200)” from Rottweiler performance! Here’s the link! - www.rottweilerperformance.com/asv-690-enduro-smc-r-2014-701-enduro-sm-all-f3-forged-clutch-levers/ I didn’t get the Billet ones just because of price.. I honestly don’t know if you would feel a difference and probably save less than an 8th of a pound haha When it comes to wheelies.. we’ll I can’t do em yet BUT when I ride hard and the front end comes up what I think is 3 feet but is actually 3 inches the lever works great. I can finally just use my 2 fingers and only smash a bit of one instead of basically my whole hand hahah The only think I have noticed after riding with them for about a week is the clutch seems to engage much farther away from the bars than before. Not a huge issue even after adjustments but some times I catch myself dumping the clutch. Then again that could be user/rider error hahah
