I'm not sure about the model but it's Frabil 22x25 (I think) net. Kind of small for butts and chromes but I like it because it's super light.

I live on the central coast and have fished rock cod for years but have never caught a Halibut. How deep and what time of year would you recommend? Nice fish by the way! Not much better than fresh fish.

Thanks. Spring to fall is a good time depending on the area. Depth depends on the area too. I don't exactly know where but my friend from central coast spears halibut all the time.

Awesome. I have an 18” to be legal and a gaff for anything I can’t grab with my lip gripper, but I’ve been wanting a bigger net. I just couldn’t figure out what’s a good balance for yak application. Thanks!

@@jacexiong I think 30" ish x 30" ish net would be good size for salmon and halibut. Bigger net will be easier to land big fish. I've been looking at 30 x 34 net but it's so much heavier than one that I use.

his other rod holder is a perfect hali-Bat. This rod holder is great for trolling, but not as a bat. No need for a separate bat. We bring enough crap on the kayak.

Get a spray bottle of cheap vodka and spray it in the gills...the fishes, not yours. It flat lines them instantaneously and you dont have to beat the crap out it with your rod holder, tripod, or whatever. LOL.
