As a HUGE Pokemon and Mario fan since I played my first Nintendo games as a kid, my biggest chase card is that awesome Mario/Pika Poncho card in a graded 9. A little newer to pokemon tcg, what does he mean when he says black label. Cause i noticed some of the becket slabs have a black label but some also are gold? if anyone has some insight id love to know

A black label is a grade given by Beckett for a card which gets a 10/10 in every grading subcategory ~ the perfect card. Because they are so difficult to achieve, they have a premium price tag. A Beckett gold label is graded a 10, but it is not 10/10 in every subcategory

Making money how? By maybe selling to a collector at 100% after sitting on the card for weeks? Also idk a single collector that buys at 100 unless it’s a card they NEEED. I’m starting to think a lot of these vendors are all flash and no cash. Like all their money is on paper, not to mention the massive business loans they must have taken out to acquire inventory in the first place.
