The new 2023 Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo Edition 150 represents a huge price hike over the last-generation hatchback - but is it worth it?
Small cars used to be synonymous with cheap cars, but the new 2023 Skoda Fabia hatchback is the latest little car to buck that trend.
The Fabia light car was always a somewhat quirky offering, with a tall hatch body, unique Skoda styling, and even a wagon option - the only light car available in the body style.
But the 2023 Fabia has grown up and out, meaning it’s bigger than the old model and carrying a more sophisticated exterior and interior design. And the popular wagon model? Gone!
It’s also copped quite the price increase and for the moment is only available in one highly specified model grade - Monte Carlo Edition 150.
Does this new pricing mean it is out of reach of buyers who might consider a Kia Rio, Mazda 2, MG 3, Toyota Yaris, Suzuki Swift or even the related Volkswagen Polo? Is the Fabia now more in line with premium light car models like the Audi A1 and Mini Cooper 5-door Hatch?
Check out Tim Nicholson’s review to find out.
