Our house in Normandy needs masses of work, but not as much as your house, we are busy putting in a bathroom upstairs at the moment, which as complete novices has been interesting to say the least, but after watching your video I am spurred on, its onwards and upwards as you say 😁

You've done a fantastic job on the window wall and should be rightly proud. A little training and KZbin tutorials go a long way, saves lots of money and gives you both great satisfaction to know you've both done things for yourself....

Are you anywhere near to Terry and Ash (escape to the dream) and the Pethericks? They both used an English carpenter called Paddy. He made curved top windows for Terry and Ash.

I love ur channel and watch every new episode 😊 I just want to say I admire u2 for buying ur 1st house and knowing it was a big project and having fun doing it..What u have already don't is beautiful and can't wait to see more.. I look hoping I will see a weekly video..but if not I will be watching every 2 weeks...At a later time in life I'm proud to see someone owning there 1st house kudos to u both..

Could that beam just have been sistered up? That's where you put another beam beside it and join them with well, large nails, screws or bolts. (Obviously if the ends were no good that isn't going to fly.)

We could have done that but it wouldn't have looked as good, you can hardly tell the difference between the new and old beams now!
