I enjoyed you both so much on Lesa & Ted's channel, working in the hay barn! You were both so willing to help & suddenly I remembered you both from the rendering/pointing seminar Lesa hosted @ their chateau. Mandy, you're a real go getter & Mark as well. Such hard workers! It must be a UK thing, because it seems that everyone from there are work horses & know how to do pretty much anything!! It's quite admirable!!! I'm catching up on some of your old videos & I subscribed to your channel after watching the hay loft episode on Lesa & Ted's channel. It was great fun! We have borrowed the scaffolding from a friend of ours, i know they come up for sale on leboncoin occasionally or you can rent them but that becomes expensive! Try asking locally, there are some good facebook groups that might have someone with one to lend you! Good luck with your chimney :)

No, the chimney is external to take the fumes from the old boiler outside the house, It was very well built but in the wrong material, it is not helping the damp problem!

Wow, Mandy , seeing you that high up I have to say you're either the bravest woman ever or the craziest, haha! You did a fantastic job on that old chimney so far. I do wish hubby would stand much further back when pieces are being knocked down and a hard hat for both of you would make me happier - please don't think I'm being mean, worried is all.

I really admire you both taking on these hard projects! Thank you for this video! I think that you did a great job. You really did it the only way possible, and you did wear a safety harness. I hope that the weather gets better! In the US we have had the end of a hurricane, 4 inches of rain! (we live up in Michigan) Years ago I helped my daughter put a roof on our big pole barn. I am no comfortable with heights too much so it was a challenge for me! Great job!! I believe anyone can do anything if we put our minds to it! Have a good week!

Hi, regarding your windows, consider repairing what you have or try reclamation yards as they sell secondhand windows and at worst case you could replace the damaged sections from a reclaimed window with a section recovered from another frame. Your old frames are probably oak and will far outlast new ones. You both have the skill sets to repair what you have, just take your time!!

I am in awe of both of you. A big dangerous job and you took it in your stride. Just to be on the safe side though why not build part of the old scaffold in the bedrooms and tie the outside scaffold to it through open windows to stop it wobbling and tipping over. You may also consider using more scaffold board as well .

What on earth is the BIG project that you're dreading? Yikes! Well, whatever it is, it needs doing so get on with it before the winter sets in. I know you'll do a fantastic job with it.
