You don't understand how low the damage of Mind Blast and SW:D are. These 10% buffs bring a Mind Blast from hitting for 2-3% of your health to hitting for 2.2-3.3%.

Greetings Champions! I am member of the World of Lovecraft dev team and I am here to share some of our honest thoughts/reasons behind our decisions. As you probably know we have zero idea about our game, so we needed collect data badly, but I am happy to report we have enough data now to make great decisions, we checked the PVE&PVP leaderboards and we learned from AWC mistakes too. Unfortunatly the data shows terrible results let me highlight some of them. At AWC we saw ~8 of 10 teams played with rogue / mage / rogue+mage. This is a terrible ratio, we deeply apologies for it, we all know that number should be 10 of 10. We will make adjusments to correct our mistakes. Rogue is fine, only another rogue can counter it (we will look forward for solutions for that too) but unfortunatly there are some classes which can be better than mages in some situation. As always the LOVE in World of Lovecraft stands for rouges and mages, dont worry beloved RMP mirrors will be back. Also we can not hide the fact ~3 of 10 teams played with hunter and they were actually good / decent. We even more deeply apologies for that, we all know that number should be 0 of 10, we will make adjusments to correct our mistakes. About DK changes: Venruki said well, the class is not broken at the highest level, but big problem for low rated players. It is a hard decision to make, should we balance the game for the 1% of the playerbase or for the 99%? After listening your feedback guys, we decided to fuck them all, they are playing with a lesser class anyway. About warlock changes: Dont worry guys demo will be meta and other lock specs will be dead soon as they should be (we are planing more changes in the future if these wont be enough). Aff will be back in another 5-10 years. About shadow priest changes: Dont worry mythic+ lovers, god comp will return soon. And finally, the biggest problem of all, the Hunters... We know the whole playerbase hate hunters, but dont worry guys, we hate them too. We succesfully deleted them from M+, now is the time to put them back in place in PVP too. Those animal lovers countered our mages for too long. To buff our mages: - we nerf BM Hunter single target ~10% (we buffed some of there abilitys, they are stupid as hell they will think they will be buffed lol :D) edit: unfortunatly they learned to read numbers, we will find another way soon :( - we nerf all hunters def cds badly. Hunters are netural/middle of the pack killing targets atm, we need to nerf that so they will die first all the time again as they should. Hopefully weakening the counter classes will make our mages S+++ Tier agian, but just to make sure we will buff I mean adjust their hero talents a little bit. Remember: We are listening, monitoring, learning! This is the best time to come back home! Epic adventure awaits!

Arent those fire buffs to scorch and fireball just offset completely by "removal" of glass cannon. Like you had 1.3 multi with glass and now they remove that and buff scorch by 33% same with fireball it had 1.3 multi and now its buffed by 1/3? So overall all the buffs fire got are just 15% more max health, 20% pyro dmg. For nerfs they got -15% ignite dmg and flamestrike build got giga nerfed. idk if those are really "giga buffs" for fire but a step in right direction tho

What makes this game really hard to stick to is knowing "If I spend all of this time, and now a fuck ton of GOLD to get all BiS on a character.... will it be still be viable or GUTTED, which means either make a alt, get my ass beat with a under tuned weak ass class or play a alt for that to happen again" It creates this massive time sink and uncertainty I don't like. Oh and FoM, once a class is powerful everybody bandwagons to it. So it creates this dull arena environment. Back during BC / Wrath era, it was great because ALTS were WAYYYYYY to much work to do, so the arena always had variety, now it's like a cookie cutting factory.

You get thrown in the air, silenced, CSed, grabbed, your spells don't get through AMS or stupid dispells that don't get affected by UA protection, you get stunned, feared, disoriented and shit to oblivion. Classes like affliction warlocks are basically damage bots that take the D during most of the arena.

Bear form doesnt make you any tankier (only spec that doesnt benefit from bear) not to mention you cant cast offensives(ranged ones, bear abilities dont do any damage). Comparison should be as I cannot use any abilities I should be as tanky as hunter during turtle or mage during block. There is no upside playing boomie, its just better to play hunter / mage and dont struggle at all in pvp. Boomie is 100% sweat, hunters and mages are 100% chill

Totally agree on UHD, Hunters were fine too, Resto Druid will become viable if not moreso. That mana adjustment is huge. They have always had great escapeablity and cc, now they can play through the fight...I'm not that scared of arcane right now, I think frost is the best spec for arenas unless the fire buffs change that....Ret sounds viable now....I don't do much raiding or M+ outside of LFR, but....Unholy are good, but they didn't need a nerf, imho. Wondering how this all affects SIN rogue...sounds like Outlaw and Sub now viable, sin WAS, but...will anyone play it now? Really hoped Dark Ranger would be a focus this xpac, sounds like not so much. Snares/slows/knockbacks are a massive problem. On my WW I go from doing 700-900k dps on average against most specs in solo shuffle. To 300-400k dps against an evoker/frost mage/shaman. I do 60% less dmg against specs that have an abundance of snares/slows/knockbacks, and it only takes 1. Add another and I might as well afk the round.

i dont think the ret paladin buffs are too big. i could be wrong but i dont think it will make it that much better than herald. also i hope affliction isnt nerfed into the ground with these changes.

BM is getting PVP buffs, now they can just LOS more and let thier pets destroy casters, while they keep peaking around the corner spamming instant cast, non kickable dmg while you try your best to hardcast something on them and fail over and over... they gonna run feral / BM and destroy ladders. Wait and see. The feral dots everyone up and runs away outside of stuns and the bm does the same thing outside of their go... It's like fighting rog/mage except you can't kick any casts. It's all instant cast and impossible to fight against for a caster cleave if they are good. So the AWC is going to be once again FILLED with melee cleaves, RMP and jungle, with a few melee/caster comps and ZERO caster cleaves... WOLRDOFMELEE FOREVER! Edit: Meanwhile demonology lock still out there having to hardcast to get combo points and hardcasting to spend combo points and hardcasting to summon pets that have no way to get out of roots or snares and are slower than a snail at the south pole...

With that insane class canon nerv noone can play this anymore and then the dmg of fire will be very low again. I dont get how you think this is a big buff when they make glass canon unplayable. They should have left it as it is, then it would be decent but like this i think fire will still be awful.

Right, I need to get something off my chest here. I just played 3 lobbies of shuffle as a 2k exp Ele Shaman in the Lava build. I went 0-6 every round. This build is literally unplayable. The Lava bursts were critting, CRITTING for 100k. It's literally the most horrendously bad spec I've ever seen. I then played 3 lobbies of Lightning Build, and went 3-3 (due to good healers) - 4-2 and 5-1. It's absolutely insane how good the build is, and they're BUFFING IT? Lava Burst is without a doubt the worst spell in the entire game. It's an absolute sick joke how weak it hits. It's like, LESS than 1 tick of a Unstable Affliction. Elemental will NEVER be an S tier spec the way Blizzard are treating it. In short - fuck Shamans. Enhance is mid tier, at best. Elemental is limited to one build and even that is mid at best. Resto, well, we all know how inferior Resto is. Just don't play Shaman, it's not worth your blood sweat and tears. Trash class, all 3 specs are trash. Just go level a Warlock or Hunter and have actual fun. For some reason, those two specs Blizzard can't seem to nerf enough.

So unholy DK gets nerfed because they slam low rating lobbies, but feral and sub rogue who slam both low and high rated lobbies are unchanged. absolutely fantastic. Didn't unholy perform under expectations at the AWC thus far too?!? Great design. Love the 2 stealth classes reigning supreme lmao. Why play any other class when sub rouge has everything. Crazy damage, good sustain, unparalleled control, stealth to almost guarantee the opening move, access to the most iconic arena control combo (frost mage), and more defensives than plate melee classes. Peak balance design blizzard. Round of applause.

@@benkoviccc problem are the complimentary talents, like the pvp one that gives you a free roll, and the other one that extends the roll a little bit further, and a 3rd one that removes slows when you roll, and a 4th one that passively removes a slow every 30 sec, and a 5th one meant for fw that suppresses slows during celestial. they'd need to delete all of these, and at least for the monk tree ones replace them with something else. so yeah, it's not going to happen.

aff relies on spread pressure, which needs to be higher than whatever passive healing people generally have. for example, if you're doing 150k dps on 3 targets and each target has 50k effective hps self heals, you're only actually doing 300k effective dps rather than 450k. a 5% dps nerf is a lot more impactful than 5% because of that. this is the reason aff has been gargabe ever since every class got self sustain, and was only good now because it was overtuned.

wtf is wrong with blizzard this feels like horrible balance changes followed by even worse balance changes over and over until what no one plays? Aff lock nerfs are wild. We were fine ya a shit load of damage but just as easy to destroy them as it is for you to die from them. The fairy’s complaining about aff lock damage are those tears that let them freecast ignoring them in any 3v3 focus them pretty hard and 75% of the time they’ll die in the opener

O return on character investment in contemporary retail WoW. It benefits blizzard to continue to rotate FOTM in the name of balancing because then people continue to buy WoW tokens to fund their new FOTM classes but for people who don't want to go that route it only encourages less participation in Arena. I know I have characters now that I only run delves or SRBGs on. Lower participation leads to rating issues, leading to further lack of participation. You dont have to break a class in the name of tuning in order to make the game balanced it just discourages investing in your characters. P.S. it is absolutely mage bias, the problem with hunters has always been survivability. Allow mages to die in Ice Block like hunters do in Turtle and then we can talk sir. Bring back dot drop on FD if you're nerfing the time.
