Considering there are only 2 or 3 tiers in delves right now, maybe complaining it's too easy isn't the right move. Not all of us are doing mythics and raids, etc for one and two, we don't know how hard the higher tiers will be for delves. Personally, as a casual player I'm looking forward to delves and I hope that they don't end being stupid hard at the end to where you need mythic or raid gear just to do it

I think the point is you will get heroic gear from the vault so you will have the gear overtime to do it without making it a joke for geared players.

Another thing to keep in mind. Even if a character is rewarded with Champion or even Hero level gear, you will still need to access higher-level crests in order to upgrade the gear. The open world content probably won't provide the higher-level crests; At least Dragonflight did not.

They have multiple levels, so easy for beginners and very difficult for advanced players. People can choose what level they want, so this seems like a good idea.

Just do low tier delves if you can't do higher tier ones? There is no timer, so even if you do a higher tier one slowly you still get rewards. I feel like if they offer no real difficulty in higher tiers, why bother? Just have a static, low difficulty. I'm fairly casual in that I play probably 50 hours per season, but I still want something to challenge me. Hoping higher tier delves offer something fun, other than dungeons as I can't raid any more due to IRL time commitments.

Yeah. Thanks for the info. Been curious about that. About that specific items with class on it. Because it seemed more like they ment the TOKENS... as in you cant use your token to unlock other class armors. Not the ones that drop the full item.. but has the class lock on it. Good to know.

I need professions to be better. I'm really good at looking things up, analyzing things, studying things. So, I was able to get all of my points for my 2 professions. My husband, who's a blacksmith, felt the items weren't worth the points. He felt it was to much of a hassle to get inscription books off the order sytem for 1 pt. just getting one point from a book, 1 point from a crystal 1 point from a from the weekly quest. And 10 points a week. Was horrible for him. WOW needs to have a real catch-up system. Books need to provide 5 points after the second season. 10 points after the third season. Cause there's literally no reason. Someone should not be able to cap out by not just doing the weekly stuff within in the first season.

Most of the good items were locked behind rare drops. Blacksmith most definitely has some great items that are sought after but they’re all rare from raids or world drops. JC has lariat but I’ve killed the storm rares hundreds of times and still not seen it Also there were numerous catch ups every patch.

They really need to shorten the path to maxing out a profession as the expansion advances. It’s okay for a slow pace through the early patches (although it was probably too slow)… but after the mid-point of the expansion, you should be able to go from nothing to maximum in 2-3 months. And by the time the final season rolls around, it should be no more than a month.

@@johnj4471 On Tuesday, will you be able to go from zero to maximum points for any profession in one month? If not, then it was not enough. Players that arrive late to an expansion (within reason), should have the ability to make full use of a profession for a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise, it will slowly suppress any desire to use the professions for a lot of people, which will slowly kill them… which will lead us right back to what we had before, only easier and even less useful (because Blizzard tends to overdo things).

Then just play "classic." Coming back to wow after a 14 year hiatus everything about "retail" is easy and it "holds your hand." It's fun, I like both wow versions. From the leveling, add-ons, world pvp is optional now is crazy lol, no need to look behind my back every couple minutes while farming or simple traveling. Gear is so easy to obtain, with the catalyst converter no need to grind 2-3 sets. Modern mmos definitely hold your hand. I mean the wow shop, lvl 70 boost. They might as well "hold your hand" with professions as well while they're at it. @@goodthings7317

I agree to a point. Perhaps Bizzard would allow limited resets of skills points for a limited time to allow new crafters to get the hang of it. But after that, you're committed. I think there should be a complete resetting of skills points after every season though.

I disagree. I know I'd just respec as needed and whatever penalties I'd pay would only be "the cost of doing business." However! I think a compromise can be found where we'd be able to "undo" a maximum number of points per week, like five or so. That gives a window of opportunity to make up for whoopsie mistakes, or eventually pivot our way out of a commitment. Ultimately though, more transparency in knowing how spec points influence crafts is the best way to prevent mistakes from happening in the first place and diminishes the outcry for respecs because then, it'd really be the player's reponsibility to make the right call.

So the delves is it like lvl 1tier 1 level 2 tier 1..how is this going to work is it going to be like tirghast where you have 5floors and had to successfully complete it to unlock the next one??.or is just lvl 1-13...and is it leveled or tiers or both???

Regarding professions. The addition of work orders that are placed by NPCs is just the profession world quests from Shadowlands getting a boost. There you'd do a cooking world quest or something like a leatherworking world quest as examples. These are essentially now placed on the profession UI in a way for TWW. Which I like to be honest.

Profession respec would be nice. In Dragonflight I wasted a bunch of points in leatherworking, leveling up that toxic part that required using a crafting station gated at the back of a dungeon. If we can avoid that happening again, it would be great. Thumbs up for great videos!

I've always been hesitant on respecs for professions because of how I know I'd (mis)use them. But I'm hard on the angle of helping make sure people don't waste their points in the first place.

this 13th Delve sounds good to me, a "final boss" of Delves will be fun to do with a max level Brann and my toons. i just want to be able to get the Bullion without having to Raid, as i stated before my PC bricks in Raid groups or around too many players casting stuff.

The 1 evoker per server limit is because they're the current expansion's hero class. When they begin starting at level 10 like allied races, death knights, and demon hunters, there will no longer be a max of 1 per server. This change could come as soon as 10.2.7 with MoP: Remix.

I still want to be able to transmog different armor types on to different armor wearing classes. Because I still think it would look freaking awesome for my mage to be wearing a death knight starter set. I mean after all transmog is just magically making your clothes LOOK like something else

I love the roleplay fantasy of professions, but hitting a button and waiting for a bar is boring. I don't want professions to just BE a mini game, but I do want professions to HAVE a mini game. Untangling magic threads for crafting when I want to do tailoring. The rune candy crush thing for inscription. A timing mini game for blacksmithing. A coloured vial mini game where you switch the colours around until each vial has all the same colour. Etc. Would just be peak professions to me. Or even just a couple of mini game reskinned for the different professions if its too much on the workflow.

Delves are such an ambitious feature, it seems like an impossible task to tune for all playstyles. I hope I am wrong and they nail it on launch but I get the feeling we will be a large portion of the expansion helping blizz get them sorted. This time however I really hope they stick to their guns and keep delves for the long run and not toss it in the bin if players don't like them initially.

Soul, what’s your idea in comparing the super immersive nature of Legion professions with the new specialization stuff? In my mind the quests to unlock recipes was a hell of a cooler but I know it was disliked by a ton of people

I didn't enjoy Legion professions' flow of making gear just to obliterate it. The quests were neat but were also one and done. I didn't "feel" like a crafter in that expansion. DF professions don't provide that sort of in game narrative of being a crafter beyond what the weeklies provided, but instead I made a story of ME as a crafter as I learned specs, sold stuff, made some wins and mistakes, etc.

I came back to the game in October last year. I still haven't maxed any profession besides fishing. The new system is confusing and convoluted which punishes players who come in late. I gave up with them and just sell any mats I get. Hopefully TWW does a better job teaching how to do them. Looking for outside third party help is frustrating and unnecessary if Blizzard actually offered a good tutorial in game. I can't even figure out the craft order system. The quest for that was worthless.

It definitely has a learning curve. Soul put out some good tutorials that helped me. You don’t need to have everything maxed to make good gold from a profession, just start with something in demand.

At 6:47, the "technology" (UI updates) plus the addition of cosmetic tier items inclusive to everyone opens the doors for armor agnostic, accessible transmogifcation. Everything we earn should be wearable by our alts and I am disappointed in the lack of creators curious on pushing Blizzard's buttons on this. Armor stopped mattering way back as far as 2010s. There's "class tier" sets that, arguably, don't match the class they're suppose to be created for but work amazingly when mixed into other pieces, from other classes. Furthermore, almost half of the classes can wear BoE from other armors, anyways, with plate being able to wear everything that isn't a class tier piece. The difference is is that, people can't transmog. Which, again, is so stupid because most people aren't wearing transmogs representive of their class. 99% are in skimpy bikinis. Lmao.

What I never get with professions it's all that hassle time and gold to get to the good stuff only to find there are 1000s of people that no life it and do it faster, better, cheaper and before you, so it's useless by the time to get there.

Define useless. Because if you decide to not try and compete with the "no-lifers" then you can take the time to level professions your own way, or not do them yourself at all and just have others craft things with your mats. And you've saved lots of time and gold not having to make those investments.

I don't want to compete because I find crafting very boring so I will never be up there at the top to make some gold. It may depend on realm tho I guess. All my toons are now just gatheres unfortunately.

For the class-specific things, I honestly don't see why they can't make them learnable at least for content that is in legacy loot mode. Things like all the class helms from Onyxia are already a nightmare to farm, and it's not like it's any kind of prestige to have them, it's just a slot machine with a really long cooldown at this point. I'm perfectly fine with them restriction the class specific appearances to be learned only be the correct class for the recent content, but for stuff that's a decade or more old? It's just petty at that point.

Delves will probably drop Champion, with Hero-track gear being available in the vault. Blizzard, rightfully so, doesn't want solo-obtainable delve gear to outclass gearing through keys or raids.

Which reminds me, alts are sure easy to level these days. So if you're HARD farming for something, put them alts to use to bypass the weekly cooldown. All in all mog farming outside of class sets is going to be tremendously faster.

profession learning was horrible in DF.. it wasnt until season 3 that I finally really figured it out and by that time had allocated points very wrong from how i would have, if i had understood it.. gripe #2 DF learning pace is too slow, they need to reduce points needed or increase rate point to allocate are acquired.. hopefully war within or season4 fixes the crafting learning rate for catch up completion .. gripe #3 the 90 aspects, wyrms, dream crest conversion price is way too high and reverse conversion sb available too.. e.g. 2x more of a lower tier crest sb tradable for 15 of the crest tier above it
