Why would a good or bad king matter ? The board is 4,4,K,A. Any king has two pair with an Ace as a kicker ...

How recent is this when they played...anyone...was it exactly in late April 2019? If that’s the case Polk is on a heater just crushing it this session. Would like to see him play at the Bike with Gman, Andy, etc Friday night big stakes.

Same. It really goes to show you poker is a gambling game. No different than other Casino games.
@lindadimattia93245 жыл бұрын
@@zeroz88 did you just really say poker is the same as other casino games? Are you out of your damn mind? You do know in poker you play against other poker player's and not the house right? Of course playing poker is gambling, but if you know what you are doing and put a lot of time into it you will have a huge edge in the long run over recreational player's. The A-A v.s K-Q and K-Q hand was extremely unlucky, you could run that exact same scenario 100 times and the A-A would win almost 90% of the time.
@connman8d6175 жыл бұрын
@@zeroz88 Poker is a strategy game with high levels of variance. It is not a casino game. In poker, the game is not rigged toward somebody having an edge over you. You create your own edge by playing better than your opponents. Does that mean you'll always win? Of course not. But, over a large enough sample, the best player always wins.

When the commentators talk about the quality of a king not realizing that the ace on a paired board plays as the kicker for all kings you then know why they commentate and don't play.
@connman8d6175 жыл бұрын
Yeah, in another one of these episodes the flop came down Q, 10, 7, and they tried to say that a 6 was "one of the safest turn cards in the deck" for pocket aces. I was like "uhh....I dunno man I think I'd rather have a 2, 3, 4 or 5."

4:19 This is the start of a very strange sequence. Kassela has flopped a baby flush, bet the flop and been called. The pot is a reasonable 10k. It's checked to him on a brick turn and he leads for $3,800 which is perfectly reasonable as well. That's when things go off the rails. Freedman raises it to $12,000. If I'm Kassela here, I have alarm bells going off in my head. What hands are calling a 3 diamond flop and then check-raising the turn? Only flushes and bluffs. Now, the only hands that Freedman can even THINK about bluffing with here have to contain the Kd but you'd have to imagine that Freedman would have 3-bet from OOP with any really strong Kings like AKo or KQo pre-flop. So, if you're Kassela, you have to ask yourself "would Freedman flat call a raise in the small blind with a weak offsuit King?" I think the answer is mostly no. For these reasons, I think Freedman's range is highly skewed toward having the flush vs. bluffing. Then, Kassela decides to ship it for 19k more and gets snapped off by the nuts. I just don't understand what he was hoping to accomplish with this raise. I GUESS you deny equity to sets and higher single diamond hands but I feel like with roughly 20% equity, those hands would just call the $3800 which is almost giving them direct odds to do so. Sets, I feel, are also a bit unlikely to just smooth call the flop as well which skews Freedman's range even more towards higher flushes. I think it's pretty reasonable to find the fold button on this turn but, if that strikes you as too nitty, a flat call is probably the 2nd best option. Kassela just chose option C - a full Chernobyl level meltdown. TL;DR - For the love of Christ don't shove when you're either way in front or drawing dead.

Like come on buddy but I saw him win couple pots with fucning shit he sucked out on 4 card straight on board and king kalis I think flopped a Set and called his àll in when he made his straight tjat fish gi jumped back in seat wow players who r much better easily spot that ! Such a téll and king paid him off lost like $85k
@bertrandsmith94785 жыл бұрын
Kassela could’ve folded his flush to that super nit. So annoying to see such a bad nit god mode that hard
@connman8d6175 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Or, at the very least, he could have just flatted the turn and then jammed if the river paired the board since it was so obvious that Freedman had a high flush but it wasn't super obvious that Kassela didn't have a set.

@Nick-xu7ns5 жыл бұрын
They were not prohibited from buying in for more than 50k. They simply chose not to (excluding GI the goat). Also “bully poker”? This is a cash game. Leveraging stack depth to pick up blinds and antes isn’t a thing in cash games.
@connman8d6175 жыл бұрын
I think he's just buying in for $200k so that he doesn't have to top up every time he loses a pot. It's an indication that he's ready and willing to splash around but still feels he has enough of an edge that he wants to cover everybody.

They are a bunch of amateurs there ! Why does he reraise on the turn with the nut flush instead of just calling ? And why does the other guy go all in with his baby flush afterwards ? Man, I could get so much money out of those hillbillies ...
@connman8d6175 жыл бұрын
Raising with the nut flush on the turn is okay if you're trying to get more money out of the baby flush before another diamond comes or the board pairs and kills your action on the river. Going all-in with the baby flush is indefensible.
