Hi, first time watching your channel. Who can resist watching a Costco haul, we live in northern bc and our closest town is two hours away too and I am so thankful we have a Costco there, I do most of our shopping for the two of us there. We only go to town once a m9nth or every two months so we like to stock up too, great video, thanks 🌷🇨🇦

Good job. Glad someone else can relate on the 2 hour trip one way...! We hope to eventually go once a month like you guys do. It will be about a $2,500 haul. Just out of curiosity how do you use your refrigerator as a fridge without a converter we also live off grid but we're here in Michigan We run our generator for about four hours a night that is to keep our big upright freezer at proper temperature with all our meats in it but we also have a chest freezer I was going to turn into a refrigerator with a converter
@Alaskan6pack
@Alaskan6pack Ай бұрын
Hello there. We run all of our power with our generator too. We have a few different freezers. Our huge upright we use as a " fridge". We have other chest freezers that are " freezers" for meat, etc... We chill off the tall upright enough to reach fridge temp then turn generator off. Sounds similar to what you do... We just use extension cords from generator to freezers. I am doing a video soon on tools and product reviews at our homestead. We do talk about generators. Brady, my middle son, is a self taught mechanic. He has been amazing on fixing generators that break or go bad...which happens often especially in the winter!

I am going to have Lily make some this week. I didn't like that I saw "bioengineered food" on one of the mayonnaise containers. It's everywhere.. So small of print too! Have to read labels on every item these days...crazy

you stock up, drive 2 hours each way..what a waste to buy only 1 item..1 flat of beans, ione jar of mayo, one package of oats...this is not "stocking up".

I understand your take on it. However with our limited space and finances it is "stocking up" to us. We live simple and small. This has changed our definition of meanings and words. Hopefully you understand what I am saying... As we build more structures on this property and shelving my trips will be bigger... and more duplicate items Of course I would love to take home 4 carts worth of items, but there is limited space.( for now) Thanks for watching!😊
