HUGE trout, small river near Crowsnest Pass | Fly fishing in Alberta (Part 2 of 2)

My dad and I spent the rest of our Alberta fishing trip on one of my all time favorite rivers near Crowsnest Pass. We landed some monster fish mostly on dry fly. Such an amazing area!

Something to remember. After 14 seconds out of water, you do irreparable damaged to their gills (system).

Actually as little as 10 secs can kill a fish that has just been battling for his life in his mind. Keep 'em wet at all times. Cutthroat in these cold water environments can live up to 20 years, this is a scientific fact. Poor handling like squeezing the shit out of them and holding them out of the water can and will remove these fish from the system. #Zeroheroshots

If you want a fish that pulls and fights you need to get on the gap. Often you have to run down river to land them. < great video 👍

Maybe, but the really big fish should always be let go ! The best breeders, and the rarest fish. Also majority of these trout streams are mostly catch & release
