Mom shouldn't be "punished?" No, it's not "punishment," it's called "consequences" for not doing what you are legally required to do.

No even consequence. It’s protecting the children.

Why are they letting the mother do anything but pay attention to court?

"The department only made special accommodations to allow extra visitation this many times, correct?" That's your argument to prove the department is punishing mom? The department doesn't have to give her any extra visitation. That's gotta be one of the most absurd arguments I've heard, and it actually came from an attorney, not a party or a pro se...wow. Be grateful that they gave you any. How entitled. And why does it take her 20 minutes to decide to give her baby to her aunt? And ffs...can the aunt not leave the room? You are in court...would the court allow her to bring her baby into the courthouse for a hearing? Courts really need to uphold their etiquette standards. I can't imagine people respect the court's authority too much when they can't even control their courtroom. 🤯 "I'm not blaming you for failing to drug test." Are you serious? She's making excuse after excuse to avoid testing, but it's the department and the testers fault? Are they supposed to grab her and squeeze her over a cup?? Her excuses for failing the drug test are killing me. These are some top shelf middle school student excuses. You have to be a whole new level of stupid to think anyone would believe those. And a whole new level beyond that to think someone who deals with drug users daily will buy it. 🤦♂️

I agree. If you can't go on the ordered day it's a fail. No excuses accepted. If you miss it, it's considered positive. Why is transportation CPS'S responsibility. What a mess!😊

Sometimes a carer doesn’t have a choice and need to bring the baby. Interestingly in Washington state a mother can’t be denied bringing a breast feeding infant into any government building…including courtroom. (Note I don’t have any problem with a mother breastfeeding in public). In this case the baby seems like a prop.
@seanwexler8051Ай бұрын
@@North_West1 that's a good point about breastfeeding moms bringing their child into government buildings. But I'd imagine they'd still require the mom to take the child out of the court room if they are crying or screaming to calm them down. And I completely understand parent's bringing their children with them places, but I lose all understanding when they do so and make no effort to calm their child down or take them somewhere else until they calm down. But, as you said, in this case, the child is just being used as a prop. Even after she says she will have her family member take them, she just has them come in to the room with her and her child...absolutely no effort to respect the court. In fact, I'd go so far as to say, she actually made an effort to disrupt the court.

The baby that she’s holding, this isn’t the baby in foster cure? If not, why is she allowed to have custody of one child and not the other?
