Yes I would help out a stranger Mate, If it wasn't for the first Video I watched from you to inspire me to do something more for my neighbors as little as fetch them their prescriptions. Now today we got a huge dump of snow and you want to know what you have started (I whole heartedly believe) , In this day and age mate, I have taught my kids your valuable lesson and they are out pushing snow for the seniors in our area. It took a small act of kindness that BMLC showed me to inspire me to do something more which passed to my children, my fellow neighbors and now to my town to do something more no matter how little it seems. It makes a difference, believe it or not these videos make a difference and so do you mate. Thank you Shawn

Things I love about Sean at Blade Mate Lawn Care 1. His accent. 2. He is kind and hard working. 3. He is smart enough to use his foot instead of bending over. 4. I never have to yell at my iPad: “Stop! You missed a spot!” 5. He is a beast with that whipper snipper! Such control! 6. His edges are razor sharp. 7. He uses the right amount of speed to prevent boring sections. 8. He is clearly educated: never any spelling errors or wrong punctuation etc. (This coming from the grammar police 😂😂) 9. He also has twin girls! Things I don’t like: 1. Um…(an hour later)…um…he isn’t in Canada (but then refer to the #1 above) 😂😂

Great to see another well-groomed yard! When you mow it in every direction, it's not possible to find one blade out of place. Your popularity has grown so much on you tube that even people in the States are imitating your 'moves'. I see other guys 'kicking' the trimmed grass off of the sidewalks to move it out of the way, just as you have done since you started uploading your videos @ the start of the pandemic. You appear to be the first lawn care service to 'pay it forward' by providing free work for the needy on a regular basis. Since then, I have seen so many lawn care guys start to do the same! I believe that you have inspired so many to give the lawn care business a try & most are succeeding because they have learned from your good example! That is something to feel really good about. Thanx for your inspiring videos, you're a Champ!!!

I had to hire someone 2 summers ago because of a back injury. Tried to keep up with everything myself but it slowly got away from me. Before that, neighbors would stop and tell me how great the yard was starting to look (new home for me). Do you think anyone stopped by when they noticed it going downhill, nope. No one asked. I'm fortunate that I could afford to hire someone to do it for me. But it would've been nice if those same neighbors had inquired. You are doing a great thing, Sean. Keep it up.

I try my best to have a great deal of pride in my own so when I see a neighbors lawn getting out of control, I offer to help them out as well. They always looks so damn good once they've been cut once or twice after being neglected for a bit. The one bit that killed me in this video was when the postie rode by on his little tuk tuk. It triggers me so hard when posties do this and go straight over (if they are nice) lawns. I've even spoken with my local postie who no longer rides over any lawns in the cul de sac where I live hahaha.

@@GPhish Possibly there are different cultural norms to being neighborly that I'm not aware of? 🤷 True, we don't know the whole situation. Were there already fractured relationships in the neighborhood? If that's part of it, thought maybe her becoming a widow would mend the gap. I only know that it would have taken one person to make a difference, before it got out of hand. Like I put, my dad would have made me take care of her yard, and I doubt he would have given me anything for doing it. Heck, for all we know there might not even be any neighbors that could help? Might be all seniors around. IDK the local ordinances regarding lawns. I do know here it only takes 1 cranky neighbor to get the city involved, once it gets outta hand. (missed if that was mentioned in the vid) Is that easier than checking in on the person? I do know where the homeowner is coming from. Years back after a TBI, my lawn went to pot. Really hard to cut the yard when sunlight made the headache explode, even with the craziest of sunglasses.
