The Afred Hitchcock Three Investigators is a great series. It's a teen book about teens and we have all of them. The silk scarf could be used on a dresser or console table also. I always buy Ideals books. I read some of the stories from a Christmas book to my private Christian School classroom one year at Christmas time.

Hello Rachel! I LOVE all your finds! I went garage selling yesterday too and founds some great finds myself! I have an ideal for your lanterns. You should get battery operated candles with a remote! And you can set them to come on automatically or control them to go off and on when you want them too! Your channel is AMAZING! And your friendship is such a blessing. Yes! I have some battery operated tea lights I used in the lanterns for that event I decorated for. We haven't had a chance yet to use them outside.

Wonderful finds! A couple of older authors you might like are Mary Roberts Rhinehart. She is the American equivalent of Agatha Christie. Also, Francis Parkinson Keyes has some very sweet books (Queen Anne's Lace is one of my favorites). I think you would also love Elizabeth Musser, a contemporary author who writes excellent Christian fiction.

Hi Rachel your hauls are always fun & Wow. I bought that rose picture with the burgundy mat back in 1998 at Target. I paid $15.99 then. I saw a brass candelabra like you purchased for your party 1 at $28. That Japanese scarf is beautiful. You can get that matted & framed. I love textiles and all things antique. Your scarf is easily $30 if older & silk - hundred +. Love the finds for your kids. It makes me smile how God blesses you & your family. We were a 1 income family when our son was growing up. Thrifting was all I could do & thrifting prices were a killer for us. I can not tell you how many times on a whim I would stop at a thrift store & have our needs met & for $1.25!! Times are so hard for all of us. I try to let people know how He provides - BUT you have to do your part - being a good steward of your money. Have a great safe blessed weekend! 😊🙏🏼

LOVE Airs Above the Ground! I knew nothing about Lipizzan horses until I read it and have been a fan ever since. I love everything Mary Stewart wrote. You hit the jackpot, that's for sure!!! I have been going through Garage Sale/Thrifting withdrawal since I have been trying to deep clean two store rooms and I have been supplying the thrift store with goodies I already had. But I have a list of things I want!

Hi Rachel. I loved all your garage sale gems. I went to garage sales for the first time this year on Friday. The last sale I hit was a goldmine. Purchased a beautiful coffee table with an inlaid wood top and chalk painted legs for $5. Got an antique child’s rocking chair for $3, a corrugated metal American flag sign for $3, a landscape framed oil painting for $1 and an etched crystal butter dish for $1. Wish I would have gone there first.

I just found your channel today and I am already subscribed. Most of the channels I sub were chosen for the creator/host. Your energy is so awesome! Very relaxing and your voice is so soothing. And the content is interesting and informative. Although I don't go to yard sales anymore, I used to go every weekend when my kids were small. All of their clothes and most of their toys came from yard sales for the first few years of their childhood. They didn't know the difference and it was a lifesaver for a struggling young mom. The Man Who Knew Too Much is the movie with Jimmy Stewart and Doris Day. I read my first Mary Stewart book called This Rough Magic when my mom was subscribed to a book club when I was ten. It took me almost a year to finish because it was so far above my reading level at the time but I loved it. I reread it when I was about 30 and thought how the heck did I read this at 10?! It had a lot of French references that were still largely over my head! 😂 But I love her books and have some others (no I’m not ready to part with them yet!) My aunt subscribed to Ideals when I was around 10 as well and gifted some to our family. I read them over and over again and when I moved out at 18 my mom let me take them. I soon learned that they still offered subscriptions and subscribed for a few years. (Those are still keepers too). The hard backed Ideals weren’t their normal magazines, but best of the best of past magazines collected together in special releases. Maybe I’ll put some notes on the insides of the Ideals and Mary Stewart books to send them to you if anything happens to me and no one in the family wants them! ☺️
