Fun fact: The blue part of the eraser is for erasing pencil marks on grittier paper, like sketchbook pages, that would more quickly tear the pink part. Never in an eraser's lifetime has it ever been purposed for erasing ink marks.

It never ceases to amaze me which parts they make humans do despite the fact that almost all of these processes are about equally complex
@Thomas_Winters3 жыл бұрын
The other machines were probably either too expensive or just wouldn’t fit
@YingofDarkness3 жыл бұрын
It's not strictly a matter of complexity but of how consistent the action has to be and costs. A machine can mix multiple powders together and pour them on the rubber on a timer or temperature, but it would require multiple smaller machines to handle the same operation which would end up costing a lot more then just paying one human to do it all at once.

this footage has to be so old, i can't imagine they haven't automated this process by 2023
@Mereologist Жыл бұрын
While machines can do a lot of processes, what they can't do well is quality control. A lot of the steps performed by humans, then, are not just matters of cutting or adding, but also matters of looking to make sure things are going correctly.

No word of a lie... these vids are excellent to fall asleep to. Real soothing voice, a nice laugh while nodding off, and there's an over 5 hour playlist to throw on repeat. Hfy 👌
