I layed overnight at JFK in the 1990s. Trying to get back to Dallas on AA. I spent the night in the quieter PanAm terminal. Then, early the next morning, I took a taxi to LaGuardia for an early morning flight on AA back to Dallas. I'll never forget that ride, as the taxi drove right by Shea Stadium. And, after all those years, it was still special, as the place where The Beatles performed. I wasn't at the concert, I was in Texas, but it's still a special thing, for a Beatles fan, as I was, since I was 8 in 1964.

EXCELLENT vlog Stephen. Reliving our February Dallas trip . We also paid a similar price and booked with FinnAir from Heathrow direct, and ended up on the top deck of a BA A380! Our return journey 10n days later included a 3 hour stop off at Newark Airport, which added to the adventure. We stayed in a Wiyndham Hotel, but didn't hire a vehicle. We used the DART system for $6 dollars each a day. (they're a bit like Blackpool trams on Speed). Can't wait to watch as the rest of your trip unfolds.

Slough - Romantic ?? Lucky devil heading out to watch the eclipse in Dallas. Now Dallas is more Romantic for sure Steve. Oh this is so much fun at the hotel. 12 hrs is nowt. Great to see blue skies.
