Welcome to my first vlog of 2025 where I head to Hughes Dressage, the home of Dressage legends, Gareth, Rebecca and Ruby Hughes. Join me as I train with Ruby ahead of our Novice 5 test at Addington for the 2025 Winter Area Festivals. Thank you to VIP Equestrian for sponsoring this video. I’ve been using the VIP pad for a year now and I won’t use anything else. Backed up with over 4 decades of research, the VIP pad provides the ultimate back protection for your horse, here’s how: 🌟VEteq™ as it is known, is considered the universal gold-standard in human medical use for pressure protection. 🌟It’s slimline so fits like a second skin, no bulk. 🌟Only 8mm thick so it doesn’t alter saddle fit. 🌟The bobbles increase surface area, alleviating pressure points and evenly distributing weight. 🌟The bobbles allow muscle and fascia to roll under pad and the flat pad stabilises it to the saddle. 🌟They’re Non stick so no hair rubbing or friction on the horse. 🌟They have the same density as fat and skin so it’s like adding in a layer of fat to your horses back for additional cushioning. 🌟VIP are so confident you will love the pad, they offer a 28 day money back guarantee if you aren’t happy *if you buy directly from the VIP website If you’re interested in purchasing a VIP pad, use my code 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗢𝗧𝗧𝗘𝟮𝟬 for 20% off all VIP pads and covers at www.vip-equestrian.com A huge thank you to Sophie at @welliesandreinsmedia for capturing this content! I had so much fun editing it and of course a massive thank you to the Hughes's for having Voss and I at their beautiful stables! I hope you enjoy and please don't forget to subscribe xx

Very nice. My only comment would be scratch the music. I read your reply to a previous comment........as your audience, we would much rather hear heavy breathing, sniffing, etc. It's a huge part of training. Keep it real. Would have been nice to hear what Ruby had to say throughout the session.

Hi loving the dressage training vlogs. Have you found a differance since using the Best flex from Feedmark? Good luck at Addington. xxx

Thank you for watching! Absolutely, Voss is so springy and able to work in a more floaty frame, Best Flex has 100% contributed xx

What’s the point of vlogging a lesson and you play music over it sorry gave up watching.

I had snot dribbling down my nose Alison, I was sniffing every 0.1 seconds…I was conscious my audience would have preferred music rather than me sniffing and heavy breathing the whole time, but thank you for watching 30/36mins!
