Great series! I'm really enjoying it! Just a note--it definitely DOES matter which way you apply bandages. They need to come around to your side from the FRONT of the leg (as Bill did it), and not from the back (as you did) b/c that way you aren't risking pulling against the tendons as you go. Pulling against the shin is much safer. 🙂

Very enjoyable following your journey. I can imagine Bill worked his stance lads hard, but as you say, character building and a great learning experience.

What a beautiful gentle boy Bart was. I thought you did great. It's easy to get into bad habits that is for sure, but then again, Ember hasn't been like Bart has he? He's been hard work, (though getting much better) but he's quirky and of course Bart is highly schooled. I enjoyed this video a lot. I hope you had a great Christmas Lucy!

Enjoyed this video very much, it's always interesting to know where people start from. I'm must say tho, as a big GS equestrian fan and been using them for years, I'm gutted to see you can't purchase the base layer and body warmer your wearing 😮. Do you know if they will be available to buy?. Take care until next time ✌️

So for your bandaging , Your way is incorrect as you're pulling on the tendon if you wrap in that direction and potentially damaging the tendon , the correct way ( the way he wrapped) takes the pressure off the tendons , and applies slightly more pressure on the front cannon bone area , the purpose is to add stability and cushion to the leg and it's supporting structures ( tendons ligaments etc ).it is absolutely Vital that you learn to bandage correctly as it is a basic horsemanship skill.❤😊❤❤

They shouldn't be cheapskates and buy proper boots for their horse's......🤔😕😆🐴❤

awesome, I had to laugh as you're doing the bandage, oh oh she's going the wrong way. You don't want to go with the leg, don't pull tendon (if that makes sense lol). You did the 2nd one correctly.

There's a H&C series in this - a yard walkabout combined with a lesson. A kinda 'Lucy meets...'. But to make it a bit different from past H&C shows, a focus maybe on up and coming riders or those non British riders operating out of the UK. If yard stuff got repetitive, a cheaper version could be a 15 min online version....maybe something to consider bit great vlog

Hey, lookie there. She’s not trying to ride this horse like a jockey. Someone finally told Lucy to lengthen her stirrups, so she can get her legs down n around the horse n balanced , n lift her hands n stop bracing on the horse’s bars n the mouth, playing tug-a-war instead of using the bit properly. Such a better picture than the usual, short stirrups, butt up n the air while bracing on the mouth to try n keep the horse from running off. And she’s so quite with this gentleman. Actually listening too.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Lucy is one of the quieter, more sympathetic vlogger riders. She has a challenging time on Ember and does very well to leave him alone enough to let him sort himself out. Get back in your dog box.

@shadue5169 agree. Like to see others ride Ember and see how it goes. Ember is a difficult, wild ride and apparently Laraugh was, too, so a soft horse is going to help you be able to ride longer, quieter and softer. Well done @footluceeventing

It's almost like riding an experienced been there done that horse is easier than a green horse.
