Stiglitz was awesome! This was my favorite scene in the entire movie lol for some reason when they all appear and the music plays it reminded me of the Dirty Dozen.

It's a movie, it's meant to be entertaining. Like all Tarantino movies (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, Jackie Brown, Death Proof), it's a marriage of violence, humor, drama, and story telling, which inevitably leaves me entertained.

I don't quite understand what you're getting at....Hugo died BEFORE Aldo and his men came up with the plan to get into the Nation's Pride premiere. Aldo and the Basterds weren't even aware Hitler and the high ranking officers were going to attend the premier until AFTER he was dead. So we don't know how they would have planned it out had Hugo survived the shootout in the tavern.

Right, the plan wasnt to be carried out the night that they met her in the bar, it was to be the night after. Operation Kino was all planned out before that meeting and the basterds were involved in the plan, they werent interrogating her,Mike Myers explained the whole plan to Hicox before they went to meet her.And if you watch the scene after they leave the bar, she says that Hicox was to be her escort and Stiglitz or Wicki was to be acameraman and an asssistant. StiglitzWAS togo to the premier
@MWolverine9
@MWolverine9 15 жыл бұрын
No the whole plan, Operation Kino, was von Hammersmarks idea. Obviously you didnt pay attention when Mike Myers explained the whole plan to Hicox. Wicki, Hicox and Stiglitz were to meet with von Hammersmark in order to carry out the plan, and if you watch the part in the pub von Hammersmark even says that those three are going to be her guests, the reason being, they can all speak German fluently.

But it makes me sick to read stupid comments and see people getting effected or even biased from Media, which hjappens too much and can be dangerous if it becomes propaganda.

lll never understand why Hugo Stiglitz is supposed to be one of von Hammersmark's guests at the Nations Pride premiere. Since Stiglitz is so notorious throughout the German army, and because all of the high ranking officers are attending the premiere, wouldnt they know who he was? Wouldnt they recognize him? Hans Landa knew who he was when he saw him dead in the pub. I dont understand that part.

@000000AEA000000 it's never said in the movie that Stiglitz's motives had anything to do with making his men's lives easier. His background is only briefly touched on, but he's presented as someone with a passionate, unreasonable hatred of Nazis. After this scene, he signs on with the Basterds, making him a defector, following which he kills his enemies as is a soldier's job, but saves his real hatred for SS and idealistic Nazi's. He's also not portrayed as a 'hero' as such, more a maniac, lol.
