Never a dull moment at the Old Pink. Great memories throughout all the years it ruled Allen St. So sorry to see this happen

I'm sorry to learn of this. I'm sorry for the owners and for the patrons and most of all the employees. Many years ago when I still lived in Buffalo a restaurant I worked at on Main Street burned one night. We were lucky enough to find an alternate place to reopen, actually just across the street and it took probably six or eight months to finalize the transition, but I never made it to the new location as I was moved to a different place in the chain. I know the pain.

I quit drinking years ago but this still saddens me. Hopefully we'll have a New Pink someday!

It's just a building....

it’s not though.

Buildings can be replaced but not states of mind, the Pink was an institution for so many of us. Places where people have fun and make memories become a larger part of our collective identity and the loss of a building can feel like a part of your identity has died with it.

Better get over to Nietzsche's too before it's gone. Lots of memories there too

@@johnzalenski3400 Yup, I was just saying Nietzsche's is the sole surviving dive bar on Allen St!
